Halo 5 wont start or uninstall

Hi

So we loved halo 5 and then after a while splayed other things, came back to play it recently and the disc was scratched, so I bought another copy of it, and now when I try and use the new disc to start the already installed game you click on halo 5, the
screen goes black then it comes straight back to the xbox menu screen. I thought ok, hard reset, after three tries, nothing. I thought ok, uninstall and reinstall from the new disc as it might be disc specific, manage games and uninstall is there but when
you click uninstall all it says are you sure, I click ok, then it just goes back to the games and apps screen with the non functioning Halo 5 sat there time after time. What the hell can I do, I have now bought 2 copies of this game, cant play it and its
jamming up a huge section of space. I just want to play a game I paid 50 quid for. And then bought again.

None of this works, I assume the data for the game is corrupt or the game is disc specific and some security issue has kicked in? Does anyone know if this is the case? No error message whatsoever comes up at any point it just stupidly goes straight back
to the xbox menu screen.

Going to start with some basics first which I know you've probably tried, but just covering the bases:

When you've tried to launch it then relaunch it have you tried using the menu button then quit before trying to relaunch?
When you're trying to Uninstall, when you click the menu button try clicking Manage game and add-ons then go Uninstall all on the next page.

If neither of those work then to be honest the only thing I can think of would be a factory reset of the Xbox...

I could understand how these Halo problems could be perplexing.

I would say that this may call for a soft reset of your console as out outlined in

How to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One . It's a reset of your console to factory defaults without uninstalling any of your games/apps.

Just make sure that you remember the sign in information for any of your gamertags (as during this process, they will be removed and you'll have to redownload them) and have easy internet access.

When you get a chance, give that a shot and let us know how that helped.

same thing here iv tried uninstalling everything reinstalling and it wont start up unless i remove update 5. removing the update also disables all the dlcs. big pile of bullshit
