Halo 5 won't install. Keeps saying installation stopped.

Hey guys,

So recently i decided to pop the disc back in my xbox one to reinstall it and play some campaign. The installation stops near 3% mark and won't install any further, surprisingly it sometimes goes back to 2% .......

I have tried hard reset, factory reset, offline install and everything you could think of still nothing. It's pretty much a brand new disc with no marks.

I googled this issue and was surprised that people were having this issue with other games too and even from way before 2015.

Why hasn't this issue been fixed yet. We can't even play something you spend $100's to buy. I'm so pissed right now and honestly considering abandoning microsoft products all together. This isn't the first time i had issues with them. Last time it was a
faulty surface pro 3.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to download halo 5 but it won't let me it keeps saying installation stopped

and the error code is 0x80070001

Do you have any friends that own the game on disc local to you? It may be your disc.

Oh and can you install any other game or is it just Halo 5 that gives you issues?

 

Tested it at my friends house, didn't work and he is also having the same exact problem with another game. I bought another copy of halo 5 and it still didn't work. Contacted microsoft and they act like they never saw this error ever, even though it's all
over the internet since 2014.

Halo 5 is the only game that doesn't want to install.

At this point i'm just not gonna bother anymore, clearly microsoft doesn't give a crap because they don't even bother contacting you regarding the status of my open ticket. It's not worth my time anymore. I was thinking upgrading to S or scorpio but now
i'm thinking nope. I'll be avoiding anything microsoft in the future.

It's possible that updates are interfering with your install. Please try putting the console to offline mode while you install the game. After that you can switch back to online mode to update the game and play it.

You have to understand that different errors will always come up. Microsoft tries to fix everything but it is really difficult considering that most of the situations are different. You need to have some patience.
