Halo 5 Will Not Start

I have not played Halo 5 in several months and decided to see what the new updates are all about. I own the physical copy of the game. When I try to launch the game, the Microsoft intro video plays, and then the game closes back to the Xbox One home screen.

I tried restarting my Xbox and it did not help. I Uninstalled and reinstalled the game and that did not work. I did a factory reset on my launch Xbox one and that did not work. Does any one know of my issue and how to fix it?

i downloaded halo 5 with gamepass and when i go to load it up it dashboards me back to home.

please try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:
Restart or Power Cycle Xbox One Console

if that doesn't fix the issue then you might have to uninstall the game, power cycle the console, download something else en then download Halo 5 again to get it working

Sorry to hear that Halo 5 isn't properly working for you. Are you using an external storage device for your Xbox One? Additionally, can you disconnect your Xbox One from Xbox Live, then attempt to play Halo 5, so we can rule out whether or not it's a network
issue?

I originally had the game installed on the external drive, but switched it to the internal drive. Still the same error. Signing out did not help either.
