Halo 5 has ditched local co-op, but it may make a triumphant return

Microsoft / 343, I'm a giant fan of Halo. I bought the original Xbox on launch day because of this title. Heck, due to poor quality hardware, I bought several xboxes - because of Halo. While I love the games story and characters, my favorite part is the
LOCAL CO-OP. For want of a less 'PG' phrase, I'm crushed its being left out.

I'm not talking about online deathmatch co-op with a bunch of other players online, but a bunch of buddies sitting around the couch having a local deathmatch - if you haven't noticed (just put a headset on), online multiplayer with a bunch of strangers has
some flaws.

And gaming with my son; since he was old (mature) enough for Halo, we'd always play the game's story together when I bought it. We've done that since Halo 3. I certainly can't justify buying another console and game copy so we can play co-op through the
story.I can't believe it's not going to be included. He's gonna be disappointed when I tell him later.

Not having this mode included is a big blow to this title. This was one of the things Halo was
about. I'll still love Halo, and the new wargames looks to be awesome, but I'm probably not going to buy this title in 2015. This year there are a LOT of titles I want to buy for the Xbox one. Fallout 4, Star Wars Battlefront, etc. I had to make
some hard choices on what I'd buy this year, I can't afford them all. So, I think I'm going to buy SW Battlefront instead. Maybe it will be there when I do buy it next year.

My Gamertag is blocked in Halo 4: Filesharing

Halo Waypoint forum folks can't unblock the name from file share. There have been multiple people posting there and they are just pointed by forum moderators right back here. No point in posting on their forum for this specific issue.

 

Bring back Halo Local Co-Op

I posted this once but I still would like to know why Halo 5 came out with no local Co-Op my son and I love to play the game together. Now it's oline only! Hope Halo 6 comes out with local Co-Op or this is my last Halo I buy. I ran out to buy it for him
and didn't look before I bought. I won't make the same mistake twice. Bring back Local Co-Op.

 

Your best bet is to go to the Halo Waypoint forums. That's the official Halo website. I'm not sure how much good it will do, but the more people who voice their feelings, the better.

 

I feel th4e same way. Split screen has been some of the best moments i have had on Halo. If split screening is such an intense thing graphically, just lower the settings for split screen only. Or, heres an idea, Have an extra video output and enable two
people to play on different screens atleast. make the maximum resolution to whatever the xbox one can handle like 480p or 720p etc.
