Halo 5 Redeem codes - across system and does it matter who redeems?

Coming from the XBOX 360, I was slammed with the old "license tied to the account entering the code" scam and *** up with Halo 5. Sadly I have setup the box to auto-login with my account then he has to manually log in (he uses the console mostly
so a waste-o-time).

Being a pre-order I saw REQ PACKS available, and have not selected them in-game. My son saw them too and was able to open them. So that implies both the purchaser and other users saw those -
assume based the original game redeem code.

My question relates to the redeem codes that are available - we received two cards - with the game a REQ PACK (Resolute Visor) and an Armour pack with a controller.

Setup:

The redeem cards state you need XBOX Membership - well of course, since what you are redeeming is only valid in a multi-player game. But does the redeemer
themselves need XBOX live or merely "on the console to play the game"?

Q1: Does it matter WHO of the two redeems codes and will all users have access to the redeems? [Advanced Warfare redeemed didn't work across the PS4 console but Destiny redeem on PS4 did] Again, mind that my son has the gold
but I bought the game; if I redeem under his account, will there be a problem with him not being able to see the two items because he didn't buy the game? Ideally I want to redeem under his account - just in case the codes only work with a single gamertag.

Q2: Are the redeems exclusive of the game? In other words - the codes are redeemed, and tomorrow I delete the downloaded game and either we purchase a discounted DVD or my son purchases a discounted version of the digital game, months later.
Once the game is reinstalled (either way) - will the existing items from the redeem codes, be still available on the console? I am guessing yes and/or I can redownload them since they were added to the "console".

agree and redeem the item or cancel and back out and leave the code unredeemed as you wish.

the codes i had yesterday would not work. i assume you simply redeem them on the marketplace "redeem code" section

 

As I bought the game, by accident, I received the "preorder" REQ PACK on my account. My son did not get these.

My son (didn't buy the game) was successful in entering the 2 extra bonus req packs (included in the game and 2nd controller). He received both and I received neither.

So Halo 5 is scammy like COD Advanced Warfare where the codes only go against the account they are entered not the console. (V. Destiny and Far Cry on PS4 which were console codes).

Just to clarify, the pre-order REQ Pack's should only be available to the account that originally purchased Halo: 5 Guardians. If your son redeemed a code for REQ Pack's under his profile, you will not have access to those packs. If you uninstall the game
and want to reinstall REQ Packs or additional DLC, you should be able to reinstall these items by trying the following steps:

• From the Home screen on your Xbox One console, navigate to My Games & Apps.
• Under the Games tab, scroll to the right and under the Ready To Install section, select the game you wish to reinstall.
  
• Once you have installed the game, select the game from My Games & Apps.
• Press the Menu button and select Manage.
• All additional content for the game should be displayed on the right.
