Halo 5 MP Beta Thoughts

Sad to say but Halo is Finished. Tried the Halo 5 MP Beta and I just absolutely did not like it. I'll stay to the classics, thank you (The MCC, which 343 did awesome at) Excluding Halo 4. Bungie started something, and 343 ruined the experience that I Loved
and Enjoyed since Halo CE til now. Game Over.

I understand, but I can see more point in the MCC as it's a build up to Halo 5, with the inclusion of the Halo 5 MP beta access and Nightfall.

Most of the rest, GTA V included, are pretty much rehashing just for sake of it.

It's frustrating as more effort seems to be going into these than creating new titles.

As it is right now, I totally agree. Very disappointing. Not fun at all. Way to easy to die.

 

That bad huh? I kind of like it personally. Least I don't have to play on some kids garbage host.

 

I enjoyed it to a degree but also think there is a lot of work to do. It's Halo through and through. I do wish there was dual wield still, but whatever. The weapons are awesome as they are. I'm just not feeling the gameshow presentation of the matches and
the cheesy sword still being so overpowered.

 

I am severely disappointed with this Beta. The teams are way too unbalanced. I cant even enjoy playing the game because of getting killed too easily. I want to enjoy plying online but cant do that because teams are so stacked. I really wish there was a much
more capable developer to handle the Halo franchise. After the epic fail of the Master Chief Collection, it will be an absolute miracle if Halo 5 is not an epic fail as well.

 

I think if 343 focuses on modularity and tools for the community (casual and competitive alike) with options to disable certain spartan abilities, etc. it could be a great game.

Although you do die way too quickly in my opinion.

 

i realize its a beta but after 3 or 4 matches and like 20 min....i hate it. feels just like CoD mp to me which i hate. I'm not great to start but the way the design is puts me at a huge disadvantage. At least with MCC i feel like i might have a chance. and
every now and then i do. this just totally pisse me off to the point where i think now that if the single player/co-op play and story isn't ungodly awesome i might actually skip this installment. SP i where i like to spend most of my time anyway. I don't think
i would even play this if all my friends were playing. sad to see this come to this game which had always been a staple of my gaming experience. Guess we can only hope for a great story and that they put the mp back to where to was.

 

I'm with most people here. 343i seems to completely ignore the Halo community. Since Reach came out everyone has complained about sprint, armor abilities, etc. Halo 4 they ignore all of the discussion and add even more junk. One would think that with
a group of professional game developers they would be smart enough to pick up on Halo 4 dying off so quickly, but obviously that went over their heads. I didn't think it was possible, but Halo 5 actually makes Halo 4 looks like a good game and that's pathetic.


It's obvious why 343i went this direction with Halo 5, they want ANYONE to be able to pick the game up and be able to do well, and it's ruining the Halo franchise. If someone doesn't seriously step in, the only people that are going to be playing Halo are
the campaign players.

Stop trying to appeal to the CoD fanbase and stop trying to incorporate crap from other games that has no place in Halo. You don't need sprint if you make small maps! no one needs a thruster pack off spawn, no one needs to be able to float in the air while
shooting, WE DON'T NEED SMART SCOPE.

Bottom line, 343i is ruining Halo.

 

Can someone help me. I am trying to play Halo 5 MP Beta but it just won't work for me. I've downloaded it via the extras in the MCC. When I open up the game and go to Arena Multiplayer Beta i cant seem to get anything to happen. It says select a playlist
but i cannot select slayer. Slayer has a red triangle with an exclamation mark in it. Also in the top right corner it says 10 no rank 10 matches to qualify. I really want to test out the game and cannot get it to work can anyone help plz.

I'm loving it actually. Want to keep playing. In fact i've decided not to sell my X1-> because of the heap of sh%$ the MCC still is (mainly with BTB, but the population is limited now I suspect). Feels like a modernized H2 or H3 to me. It doesn't feel like
H4. Everyone whined about Reach feeling like COD. Couldn't stand COD actually. I got talked into buying COD once and sold it the next day.

 

What, you guys are crazy. This game is so fresh. All anybody wants is the same game recycled over and over, how do you guys not get bored. I love it. It's hard though, I don't play nearly as well as I played in my Halo 2 heyday but maybe that's just because
I don't play as much anymore.

 

Halo 5 is great. Try playing more than 2 games. Sure it has sprint, clamber, ect., but 343 has done a good job putting them into the game. 343 isn't making a game for Halo fans they are making a game for everyone and right now its really good.
