Halo 5 is ruined

From a number of friends whom I've been playing Halo with since Bungie released 'Combat Evolved', ever since Microsoft took it over the franchise has been utterly ruined... campaign, multiplayer, micro-transactions, etc. In Halo 4, the campaign was awful
because it made Masterchief look like a complete sissy and behave as if he was in love with Cortana... wtf? Cortana was bad as well because everything she did more towards the end made no sense at all. How does an AI create a light shield that withstands a
nuke at ground zero at the rampancy stage she is in? The only good thing that came from Halo 4 was the spartan ops, and even those got boring.

With Halo 5, Microsoft redeemed themselves a little in the campaign but the multiplayer is completely broken and unbalanced. A pistol is stronger than an **** or battle rifle. Homing grenades... Oh yea and a useless radar that detects enemies 5 feet away
(estimating). Even the matchmaking is unbalanced where you're matched with people of the same rank... but not skill. They are 2 completely different things.

Halo 5 is also ruined by the fact that micro-transactions have been added because obviously Microsoft isn't making enough money.

These are my opinions and complaints but everyone has their own opinion I guess.

Do you really want a rushed Halo 5 version after the Halo 4 meltdown? Another misguided attempt like that and they ruined the iconic franchise.

I feel your pain. I believe Halo is ruined. Halo 4 was just a what the heck did I just play, and I thought they would of redeemed themselves with Halo 5 beta. I'll stick to the classics, excluding Halo 4. The only GOOD thing 343 has done is the MCC.

 

When it comes to the game play of Halo as a whole. We need to have change and progress the evolution of the technology we are working with. Of course Halo 5 is a different approach to how we used to play our games yes, But you also
have to understand that as time goes on within the Halo universe, change will always keep bringing interesting factors to these games. It might not be in the best interests of some gamers, but it gives a new shell of opportunity for 343i to test where they
really want to take the story. If we go back into the first Halo, we didnt know much about John other than that he is just a super soldier in armor who is also a killing machine. Bungie then takes us on a adventure to progress his story line for years to come
with absolutely no change at all in game play. Now we introduce 343i. Not only did they want to continue the story of John, but they wanted something more and something to keep the game interesting. We cant just play the same things over and over again and
just call it new. We have come far and we cant let these small things get in the way of the change that going to inevitably come to the gaming industry. We all have to overcome and adapt to the changes that are happening.

 

The microtransactions aren't even a big deal since it's only in Warzone and you get enough points to get packs pretty fast. The multiplayer is actually one of the most balanced Halo's. The pistol needs to be capable of winning against an AR/BR/DMR or else
you will be unable to do anything. Honestly, the game requires too much skill, which is why I enjoy it but I can understand why someone would be kinda turned off.

 

Haha, actually I felt that Halo 5 has one of best multiplayer experience although it did lack in campaign.

If you have been keeping updated to HCS and latest news in Halo 5, you might have heard that there is going to be a Sandbox update that changes a lot of automatics. In fact automatics are expected to be nerfed as they require lesser skill compared the pistol
which requires more practice to master.

Matchmaking is continuously being updated to ensure fastest and best matches.

Lastly, micro-transactions only affect Warzone and customization options. I haven't done a single micro-transaction ( Still Studying ) and I have managed to collect all items in the game.

While I agree that Bungie has definitely brought Halo to where it is today, I feel 343 has learnt from their mistakes (Splitscreen confirmed, shift back to old artstyle, acknowledging mistakes of H5 campaign) and it's important to give them a chance than being
fueled by nostalgia. I feel that Halo 6 will make Halo great again

 

Remember when Bungie (hopefully I'm not mistaken; in the event that I am, thank you for correcting me) created that dreadful multiplayer on Halo reach with all those OP armor abilities? including that armor lock, or when Bungie started using on halo 3 those
other items (the regeneration field and landmine and portable shield and bubble shield and other items)?

If you ask me things have been improved, like they previously stated in this thread, they need to keep on changing mechanics on the game, unless you want to end up like a generic COD multiplayer gameplay...they need to keep on innovating in order to advance,
of course there's going to be some bumps in the road but its part of the process.

As for campaign, sorry but I disagree, I'm also from a generation where I started playing videogames with combat evolved more than probably 12 years ago (favorite franchise so far, even got all the books and comics), so I would say that even thou Master
Chief is a soldier, he has been with Cortana basically against all odds. You could say she was like a motherly figure to him and the other Spartans.

Said it before and will say it again, Halos multiplayer is one of the most skill required ones, obviously there is on ranking system like there was on Halo 3, but this one is decent. And as for micro transactions, they already said it doesn't really help
that much unless you are playing Warzone which isn't that much pay to win actually, and well, aesthetics have never won a match...
