Halo 5 installing when already installed

    Halo 5 installing when already installed


    I installed Halo 5 when Microsoft gave us the free week, I then bought a disc copy of the game as that is always cheaper than bing it from Microsoft digitally.

    On putting the disc in expecting to be able to play, the game starts to install even though it already has.

    So I select the installed one and it asks me to buy it.

    How does that work, aren't they both exactly the same?

    Just bought Master Chief Collection for $10. Only have about 16gb of free space on HDD

    How big is this game as of 6/5/2016?

    Halo 5 is already damn near 100gb, this is insane.

    Whatever happened to a 2-3gb manual install while reading the rest off the disc?

    How Long does Xbox One take to set up?!

    On the Xbox One they will check to see if there are available Game Updates First and download and install them before the Disc so it will take longer meaning it may take a while to actually play the game if the update is rather large. Take Halo MCC for example it has something like a 15gb update so if you were to install the disc it will download and install the 15gb before even installing the disc.

    If you check your
    Order History     when signed into your account and see the Halo 5 Guardians- Voices of War REQ Pack, that means it was applied to your account.

    If it's not already installed, you can install it by going to My Games & Apps>Halo 5: Guardians>Manage Content>Ready to Install.

    It took me 3 hours to install Halo 5 Guardians to my HDD, and I used a Disc. When I inserted the game, it asked me if I wanted to install the game updates now and I said no.

    Afterwards, I had to install a 25 Gig update. This is the reason that it took me 3 hours before I could play Halo 5 Guardians.

    I already un-installed the game because I'm done playing it :)

    It took me a little over 3 hours to install Halo 5 when I installed it a long time ago. I am not going to re-install Halo 5 again given the fact that there are probably a ton of new updates on it now.

    It would probably take 4 to 5 hours to re-install the game.

    Halo MCC problems

    So you try to install Halo 1 from the MCC and it stops downloading at a certain percent every time? Are you trying to install on an external HD, or the internal one? I assume you've already tried a power cycle? Also have you tried installing other games
    and seeing if they will fully install, or if it is just this one game in particular that will not work?
    both on the internal and external drives idk what to do both halo mcc and halo 5 don't want to work for me the rest of the halo games work ( reach, odst ce, etc.) But not halo 5 and mcc both pre owned again
