I got halo 5 limited edition early will i get banned if i play it today or do in have to wait until the 27th

I very much doubt you would get banned unless you obtained the game illegally. There is only 3 days to go after all

There is a possibility that the servers might not be running yet meaning multiplayer wont work

Or the achievements might not be on the system yet meaning they wont unlock.

 

Now while I've never heard of anyone being banned for playing a game early the code of conduct does say this:

Don’t pirate or use another's content without permission. For example, don't:

• Share content more broadly than you're allowed to share
• Use another's intellectual property without permission (e.g., copyrights, trade secrets)
  
• Play any illegitimately obtained software or pirated games
• Play a game before it has been authorized for play on the service
  

 

You are fine to play if you have the disc version.

You can only really be violating "Play a game before it has been authorized for play on the service" if you are playing the digital version which is not supposed to be available until the date stated on the dashboard.

You'll be fine unless you have a pirated copy. More likely you just got yours early.

 

how did u get it before the release date?

i bought that limited edition halo 5 guadians bundle today. but i will try to get rid of it tomorrow.

because i bought it only for the purpose to play splitt screen with my best friend like i did with halo 4, reach and halo 3. what a disapointment. i hope the shop will take it back.

 

Disappointing that they don't have local co-op as it was such a huge part of previous HALO titles.

Because the USA insists on having new releases on a Tuesday, online shops in the UK and presumably other parts of Europe, in order to honour their promise of 'you'll get it by release date' will post them out on a Friday because there's no postal service
on a Sunday.

When that happens a few people get to play the game a couple of days early.

Got "Destiny" myself on the Saturday before the Tuesday release.

Yay me... but they didn't turn the Servers on until Monday!
