Halo 5: Guardians: no campaign or multiplayer

I've been unable to play any multiplayer or campaign for the past 2 days. This problem occurred once already for me about a week ago, and I was finally able to fix it by uninstalling all games and profiles, reinstalling them, unplugging the power supply
for an hour, and re-trying. This process took a solid 6 hours. Am I the only one experiencing this issue? It has only happened to my console since I purchased and installed Halo 5 Guardians (purchased on disc on launch day). I do have strict NAT, and probably
a lower-than-average high speed internet connection (however it is the fastest available where I live, and I can usually play online while 2 other devices are running netflix in the house with no problems), but I've been successfully gaming online since the
launch of xb1, no issues with any other games Titanfall, Destiny etc.

I've completed the campaign on solo legendary, and only just gotten a feel for multiplayer, but if I have to go through the arduous process of uninstalling and reinstalling everything every week, I'm going back to Destiny, or on to something else. Sorry
for the long-winded rant.

"True enough "for the people who think there are teasing Halo Guardians every weeks or days.

Last time,i heard or saw something official about Halo Guardians was after Halo 5 multiplayer beta when 343 gaves some beta statistics and feedbacks.

 

What are you playing and how are you liking it?

Halo 5 Guardians. Over 500 multiplayer games now and loving it.

 

You really should focus on getting your NAT to Open or at minimum Moderate.

This alone can be the cause of the problems you describe and some games handle it differently than others.

Opening your NAT isn't difficult to do, just follow these simple steps and it should take you 10-15 minutes max -
portforward.com/.../static-ip-xbox-one

If you try that and it still doesn't allow you to play campaign co-op or Multiplayer then let us know.

 

I've explored the port forward option, and I'm considering a router upgrade. quick update, now the unit can't get past the initial boot screen. I can't believe that this is NAT related. It should at least make it to the home screen, Internet or not

 

Another update. I went through the out of warranty exchange process, got my replacement console for $136 CDN shipped. The customer service is exemplary, I am back up and gaming.

But unless I decide to start up a new isp in my region, I am stuck with strict NAT. Where I live, there is only one high-speed internet option, offering only one brand of router that doesn't have a password, thus no option for altering NAT settings or port-forwarding.
