Halo 5: Guardians Has Gone Gold, Digital Pre-Downloading Starts Next Week!

Halo 5 looks exactly like Call of Duty? =S Maybe I need to get my eyes rechecked if that's the case.

I'm not really a Halo fan (Although I've played them all) so not here to defend it, but the thing I like about these games is that it's not a yearly release (like COD or AC) it gives you time to miss it and gives that exciting feeling when a new one comes
out. I haven't played Halo 5 yet so can't say if it's anything different from previous games, all I know is it looks pretty good.

 

There are still distinct differences between Halo and CoD. Those differences make Halo play differently.

That being said however, the reason Halo gave the FPS genre its "much needed boost" in the first place was because they stepped away from what everyone else was doing... rather than gravitate towards it. I don't condemn 343 for their effort to leave their
own mark on Halo, but I have to admit that they just didn't impress me with their decision to go the direction they did.

Halo 4 was still... is still... fun to play, but I play SP mostly. From what I've seen of Halo 5, it looks like 343 has become more comfortable with what they're doing. I choose to think it has potential and time will tell.

For example, you can actually charge/bull rush your opponent and use your momentum to kill them - that's a 1st for FPS games, at least from what I've seen...

My Titan from Destiny wants to have a chat with you... he mumbled something about "shoulder charge" and "Death From Above"...

In any case, I'm still very much looking forward to Halo 5 and I'm even seriously thinking about jumping back into the MP side of it for a change... mainly because of War Zone.

Honestly, I don't like how there were so much changes made in Halo 4 (despite the fact that I only played Spartan Ops).

Halo Reach was the perfect state of Halo for me, except for the fact that Sprinting had to take up a special ability and the fact that it was limited.

Please understand that it isn't my intention to be mean / rude to Bungie (because I am refering to Halo Reach), but Spartans can't run without a special ability and the can only run for a short burst?

Halo Reach is my favorite Halo game EVER and I've always wondered why " infinite sprinting " wasn't added earlier into the series.

its a reskin.

Another shooter where we've done most of it, if not all of it before.

A lot.

It will be a new story. New maps. Some different weapons but at it's core the same stuff we had in HALO, HALO 2, HALO 3, HALO: ODST and HALO 4.

So many reboots and unfortunately far too many established franchises are simply reskinning the current engine with minor tweaks. Even when they do make a good progression they tend to cheapen the brand by churning out formerly iconic games like EA sports
titles.

That's how HALO has gotten for me. That wont stop some people from enjoying it but I'll predict now that it won't have the lifespan of previous games and like many things that people have been waiting for for ages... it'll be over in a week.

Heu....It's. my. new. writing style.

In. reality,i'm. in. the preview. program. and the. new virtual keyboard adds a dot randomly..(first. it was "funny" but now it. starts to drive. me. crazy).

 

Fair enough but what's really annoying is I actually read one word then pause for a bit lol.

 

It has guns so it's a Call of Duty clone. Man, people are thick.

 

I've had this pre-ordered for ages, looking forward to it.
