    HALO 5: GUARDIANS CAMPAIGN (SOLO) NOT RESUMING


    I downloaded the 6gb update today (11/18). Initially it let me resume my campaign (I'm on Mission 7). Now when I try to resume from my last checkpoint it begins load does the deployment countdown goes to a black screen and the white loading symbol
    in the left corner and then exits the game and goes to the Xbox dashboard. If I try to replay from a previous saved checkpoint it will let me play but if I advance close to my previous highest checkpoint and die, it also exits the game and goes to the Xbox
    dashboard. This is more than a little frustrating having played nearly the entire campaign in legendary and now unable to complete because of a bug. I have restarted my Xbox. I have "quit" the game from the dashboard. Neither corrected the problem. Any advice
    much appreciated.

    Sorry to hear it. Are you able to delete the game and then redownload it to see if that solves the issue?

    A number of people who have reported the same problem have tried this but to no avail, problem persists.

    Have not tried myself,I live in rural Scotland and my average broadband speed is 4mbs so really don't want to go down that road!.

    Tried the power cycle, still no change.

    Got to be a problem with the update, being brought up on a number of forums.

    I find that power cycling usually helps with a lot of problems, but if that or uninstalling and reinstalling does not work, then we might just need to wait for a patch to come out HALO 5: GUARDIANS CAMPAIGN (SOLO) NOT RESUMING :(

    I know you said you do not want to go down the path of uninstalling and reinstalling, but I feel like consoles/games are finicky at times so personally I would still try that. How many people did you see who reported the same problem?

    Same issue for me. Power cycling does not help. Did anyone try to re-install the game?

    If you are unwilling or unable to do the delete/reinstall please try deleting your gamertag from the console, then power cycle and re-add the gamertag. If that doesn't work then you may have to try my suggestion above.

    Erased profile and re-installed,as suggested .Then re-started mission from beginning ,which was a bit of a *** as was right towards the end,and seems to have worked.

    Saved the checkpoints a couple of times,signed out and signed back in and have been able to continue from Resume and checkpoint saves. Here's hoping all remains good.

    I have the same problem. Should what is the official fix? Power cycle does not work for me.

    Option 1) Remove my profile from my console, power cycle, and then re-add my profile?

    Option 2) Uninstall Halo 5 and then reinstall?

    Please advise.

    I tried option 1 and it did not work. Even my last saved game is not working. I will try to redo the mission all over... this will probably work but annoying to restart.

    I do not want to try option 2 since I have the digital copy of Halo 5.

    Here is the fix that worked for me:

    I restarted the mission, I lost my progress but it worked for me, no issues so far since then.

    What game have you played through the most?

    In terms of time spent in campaigns, does FH3 count?

    I've also put some time into the Halo 5 campaign, and am planning to complete all the Halos on Legendary, solo. I've already done Reach and Halo 5.

    Hello everyone :)

    Here is my history with the Halo franchise

    ..........

    Halo: Combat Evolved --> I only played the Campaign Mode. I love the story :)

    Halo 2 --> I only played the Campaign Mode. I love the story :)

    Halo 3 --> I only played the Campaign Mode. I love the story :)

    Halo 3 ODST --> I only played the Campaign Mode. I love the story :)

    Halo Reach --> I played the Campaign Mode and Horde Mode (solo) only. My all time number one favorite Halo game ever :)

    Halo Wars --> I skipped it because I don't play RTS games at all.

    Halo 4 --> I only played Spartan Ops, I don't care about the story anymore.

    Halo Spartan Assault --> I skipped it because I prefer Halo to be an FPS, not a Twin Stick Shooter.

    Halo 5 Guardians --> I don't care about this game at all.

    ..........

    I love the Master Chief and Cortana, but " I " feel that Bungie wanted the Master Chief to go home back to Earth at the end of Halo 3; then 342 Industries wouldn't allow that.

    As a result of changing the ending of Halo 3, 343 Industries was able to link Halo 3 to Halo 4. Now we have Halo 5 Guardians on the way and Halo 6 in the distant horizon.

    Now, before a reader or readers of this post say to me that I hate 343 Industries on how they handled Halo 4; you couldn't be more wrong because 343 Industries did an absolutely amazing job with Halo 4 and I wish them (343 Industries) the best of luck with
    the Halo 5 Guardians and Halo 6 :)

    Long story short, let the Master Chief & Cortana rest people; they're other Spartans out there too you know LOL :)

    Destiny has replaced Halo as my FPS game :)
