Halo 5: Forge closes on main menu

I have gone past the splash screen and I was prompted to press enter to go to the main menu. Then, after a while, the application closes itself before I can do anything. How can I prevent this? Help would be appreciated.

Hi! Sounds like performing a hard reset/power cycle might help in this case: https://support.xbox.com/xbox-one/console/power-cycle-console

Hey Jcd,

Thanks for your post. If the steps provided have not helped resolve the issue, try a

Soft Factory Reset. This will remove all profiles off the console and reset the Xbox's operating system while keep the games and applications installed. Before performing the reset be sure to select
"Reset and keep my games & apps" as well as have your Microsoft Account login information on hand to sign in with no issue.

I have found that performing the hard reset EXACTLY this work better for a lot of issues. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

I have tried this yet it still closes itself. Thanks for the help though.

Thank you for reaching out! If you haven't already, I want you to try
reinstalling the game a shot. In some cases, updates for apps may get corrupted causing them to crash, uninstalling usually gets the job done. Let us know if this helps!

From Home, select My games & apps, and then select
See all.
When you’ve highlighted something to uninstall, press the Menu button
on your controller.
Select Manage game & add-ons, then Uninstall all.
