Halo 5 download time

was just wondering how long it took others to download halo 5 as I've being downloading mine for about 14 hours and it's still only on 24% :S

Hi!

Can't intall Halo 5. Download always stop at 5% with the error code above (0X87E00064). I have tried several times since to days.

 

Can't download Halo Reach after purchasing from Xbox Live Marketplace

I purchased Halo Reach a week ago and I tried to download it today 5 times already but when it reaches 99%, it displays an error "can't download halo reach". Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

 

Took a couple of hours for me but depends on your connection speed.

Also your DNS settings can make a massive difference regardless of your download speed.

For instance my ISP is BT and their default DNS servers sometimes connect me to extremely slow download servers meaning a download that should only take minutes can take hours. If I change DNS then games can download as fast as my actual connection speed.

Using different DNS servers can sometimes speed up your download.

 

Took a day or so, i had to pause the download and that helped speed things along.

On BT.

 

At the three hour mark, but almost half way through. Should be good for the release tomorrow night.

 

Took me between 4 and 5 hours.

 

Brisbane, Australia, about 3hrs. There doesn't seem to be anyway of playing while it downloads.

 

Took me 15 minutes a few weeks ago.

 

About a day because my connection is garbage.

 

I had it pre-ordered and ready to play today. Turned on my xbox and the game crashes. Looked at the size of the game and it said it was 114 MB. I double checked the size last week and yesterday to be sure I had the right file size. Now I have to re-download
it. So I'll post how long it takes me to download later on. It's been 10 min and 2% installed. Might be a while...

 

took me 20 hours,what a waste of time!they took a good game and turned it into trash

 

I've been waiting approximately 18 hours and it only got to 16%. I called Microsoft for support and I was told to check the connection and bandwidth, both which were just fine. Then it was suggested that I cancel the download and then redownload the game,
my progress was completely reset and the download has not sped up at all. Any ideas?

 

Depends on your download speed. The higher the quicker it downloads...in theory. If you have a disc, unplug the wire or the wireless and it upload from the disc. Did that with Battlefront and it took 20 mins!

 

seriously, if you are connected to the internet it downloads it from the bloody server and not from the disc if you have the disc in the disc drive. what kind of crazyness is this. I thought something was broken right out of the bloody box or the disc
was just a tiny key to unlock the game lol it seems to be just that. At least I know in future reference to d/c from the net when installing a game.

I was just about to break something waiting so long. its not like my internet is slow 30-50 down and 10 up. so yeah.
