Halo 5 disc copy swapped to a digital copy

Hello whoever this may concern

i bought a copy of the lastest halo game (halo 5) and it doesn't seem to install to my console I was wondering if I can get a digital code in replacement. I have a reference number from a mircrosoft customer support representative. The reference number is
[Mod Removed] and he said we can take it from there.

We bought the game from eb games and it didn't work at all and was really hoping yous would be able to swap me a halo 5 download code and ill give you the serial number for the hard copy disc.

Hi, did you own the disc copy or the digital copy of Halo Wars? If it was a disc copy that you owned, then if you still have the disc, then insert the disc and install it like any other game. If you don't own the disc, then you will need to purchase the
game again.

 

Can disc installs run without the disc if you have a DLC code?

It's not a "DLC code", just a digital copy of the game.

Yes, one can use the disc to install a game, then activate a digital copy. The digital copy will not need to re-download, it'll automatically use the disc install.

 

You would actually have to contact the retailer you purchased it from for an exchange. Microsoft does not swap physical discs for digital versions.

 

Hey, Vision Shifty! The only disc swap that we had done with Halo 5 was with the Limited Collector's Edition, and that was so that users that got the digital code with that version of the game could get a disc copy. This ended on November 1, 2015. For visibility,
