Halo 5 Controller has the wrong firmware

Yes that's a very big assumption on my part, but after months of swearing and abusing my A50s i actually believe my Ltd edition controller has some how been updated with the wrong firmware... Help please

A50s work fine on normal controllers that use the adapter (also used other headsets)

A50s mic doesn't work in the 3.5mm port on new controllers (also tried other headsets)

new controller doesnt have the setting options it use to have when I first got it (special menu options specifically for that controller)

Xbox One S Controller won't charge

My battery pack works with the new controller, but it does not charge like many others. I've tried numerous USB cables. The cables and both battery packs I own work with my old Halo 5 controller, but there has to be a compatibility issue with the One S controller
and its firmware.

November Update broke Elite Controller/Console Sync/Power On

It is not only the elite consoles, my halo 5 limited edition console does the same thing. Everthing worked fine till Nov. 12, installed the console update and controller firmware update and the controller loose connection every 30 mins. the big X on the
controller dont turn off completley it dims down and come back. the connection is lost for about 0,5 - 1 sec. i havent any issues befor NXE update. my old 2013 controller is working but my halo 5 controller does not. i have to powercycle the console to play
with my halo 5 controller after that the controller will work till the battery is empty so i plugged in my USB cable (Play&Charge Kit) and recharge my battery after i disconnect my controller from the cable because the light on the cable is white which means
my battery is full the issue starts again and i have to powercycle the console.

i dont have this issue with the 2013 controller this controller have also the newest update but in the end it shows xxxx81 and my halo 5 controller shows xxxx85 so these are two different firmwares. i think there is an software issue with the .85 firmware.

Halo 5 controller works until i have to recharge the battery with USB cable then i have to powercycle the console to not loose the connection every 30 min.

my old controller is working as it should (.81 firmware, newest one)

Same! I'm also having this problem. My 3.5mm adapter Xbox headset (one I got from the box) doesn't work with my Halo 5 controller, I even got my headset replaced through the Xbox Online Service Centre and the problem still persists. I actually think it's
the controller. I can't really test the headset on another controller since I don't have another one but I bet it's not the headset.

So tonight I borrowed a mates controller who has not updated his firmware (as he does not know how to).

My firmware on two controllers experiencing the problem is: 1.1.2228.0

The firmware on a friends controller not experiencing the problem is: 1.1.279.2

Just to illustrate on the home screen using the analog stick moving left to right on the old firmware controller it is very responsive.

On the controllers with the latest firmware every 5-6 movement left or right it has a slight pause almost as though the xbox one is buffering the controller input...
