Halo 5 beta this weekend/new apps available

Is there anyway i can get into the beta this weekend even though im not a preview member? I dont want to wait until the 29th lol

 

No worries after playing around 3 games, I already grew bored with it and haven't touched it since. You're not missing much...especially if you have the MCC already I mean you can't be bored with the 100 maps yet can you?? LOL

 

Yes, you can Dwoop. Why? Because I can barely even access said 100 maps when the multiplayer is broken!

...at least it's getting better, but it sure feels like they're taking their time.

 

Very impressed with the Beta this weekend. Like all Betas after giving them a try for about 10 rounds on only 2 maps I'm happy to wait until the 29th now to give it a go on hopefully a few more different maps. Might jump into the HMCC mp over Xmas now and
play some swat. Back to Titanfall tonight with a friend on all the new maps I bought. Choice is wonderful

 

There is no way of playing this amazing beta unless you are a dashboard preview member or until the 29th

 

Played 5 hours so far....So imagine how many hours i will play with 3 game modes and 7 maps....

 

Yeah, the beta so far is surprisingly good. The new movement options are very similar to CoD's Advanced Warfare with a few additions (boost charge); it's slower though.

Based on the 2 maps alone, I can tell that I'm going to have A LOT of fun finding some good jump spots. I've already found 1 on the new map where everyone was running underneath me with no idea I was up there.

Out of all of hte new movement abilities, my favorite has to be the mantling. It feels much better IMO than it does in CoD:AW. I also like that if someone comes at you with the sword, you have options: boost back, left or right? It forces sword users to
be a lot more careful. I wish I had recorded it, but I got a triple kill by sneaking behind the enemy with it earlier today.

It's also a good combination (right now anyways) of the old meeting the new. While there are the new movement abilities (which everyone has access to making it relatively balanced) that speeds up gameplay considerably, there are (as yet) none of the pre-selectable
"equipment" from the likes of Halo Reach and Halo 4 - such as jetpacks, active camo, class setups, etc. Instead, it harkens back to the older Halo games where power weapons are littered across the map and you have to try to get to them before your enemies
do. Personally, I think that's a setup that works.

Also, did I forget to mention that the SMG is making a comeback? It doesn't shoot blanks anymore.

IMO, Halo 5 is already gearing up to be the best Halo EVER (provided they do well on the networking side and do a some bug-fixing of course).
