Halo 4 - Xbox Live charged twice for war games map pass

I got the map pass by buying the special edition of Halo 4. However, when I went to download it onto my newer 360, it charged me again, rather than allowing me to re-download it. Now I have a charge of 17 pounds taken out from my card, and two copies of
the map pass attributed to my account. What happened, and can I expect to get my money refunded?

War Games Map Pass XBL question?

Eariler this month Microsoft provided a free download for the Crimson Map Pack, 0 Microsoft Points. What others including friends tell me is that Microsoft made a boo-boo and an XBL update was released for Halo 4 about 7 days ago and since then We no longer
HAVE the Map pack. Even though I checked my Account Download History and it doesn't say "Trial" or "Free" in the Halo 4 Crimson Map Pack which I downloaded and the game is now not recognising it. My slim console including HDD is running fine.

I viewed War Games Map Pass on the Xbox Dashboard and it says "If you own this Map Pass, access map packs thru the Halo 4 in-game store. Do not download from Xbox Live Marketplace or you will be charged twice". Why doesn't Microsoft fix this so that if we
want to download it from XBL Marketplace we won't be charged twice? Many pp download stuff directly from XBL Marketplace rather than in-game menus with other Xbox 360 games and don't get this message "you will be charged twice". It certainly does not "charged
twice" if I want to download DLC directly from XBL Marketplace for MW3, TDU2, Final Fantasy XIII, Sims 3, Minecraft, Battlefield 3, HALO REACH, HALO CE ANNIVERSARY, HALO WARS, etc but why does it do it for Halo 4? Thanks

 

what happened? when you own season passes of any Kind purchasing via ingame menu is correct

refund possible? give it a try and contact xbox Support on phone, though in General it is all purchases are final i think double purchases could be an exception, right?

 

I contacted xbox support via the chat. Since I had the Halo 4 limited edition, they reasoned that I also must have the map pass that comes with it, so they refunded the charge and allowed me to redownload the map pass. Only took thirty minutes or so.
