Halo 4 Tritton Warheads NOT compatible yet?

The recent adapter for 3rd party headset if great to hear. However the Microsoft licensed Halo 4
WIRELESS Tritton headset isnt compatible with the new adapter since it doesnt require any wires. I can use them for audio since it plugs into the optical port, but unable to use any chat feature.

Is it at all possible with an update to allow the headset to "pair" with the Xbox one like it did with the 360?

Are these headphones useless now and should i give up hope for a fix?

I have the black standard version and love it. Only issue is the top band doesn't have enough cushion.

I, too, have the same questions. Have a pair of Tritton Warheads Halo 4 edition. Sound works through Xbox One via optical out, but chat feature is unavailable. Looking for a fix.

Don't give up hope just yet. Just wait and relax there should be a patch for that soon... hopefully.. I got a pair oof Wireless Tritton headset as well.. Hoping for the best

I've been told by someone who posts on the Tritton facebook page that he has a friend who works with M$ and that he's been told by said person that a wireless adapter for the warheads is currently being developed.

If this is true the adapter to make the warheads chat compatible is at least 6 months away.

It has to be approved, it has to be developed, it has to be prototyped they will have to finalize a design and build it, then mass produce it for public purchase

I too have a set of warheads, and am anxious to use them with full function

 

yea i figure a third party may capitalize on demand. hopefully all this is true, dont want to give up the trittons, they are amazing

 

Shouldn't need an adapter as its all via optical cable. Just needs a file patch in audio. All up to Tritton to write it though.

 

@TheMorningStar That's absolute rubbish dude. It will not happen.

Mad Catz/Tritton would not bother investing that ridiculous amount of money to make a 2 year old headset work with a new console.

Mad Catz announced recently, that they're working on a new batch of headsets especially for Xbox One. Hopefully, they've paid Microsoft to use its new wireless technology and one of those headsets will be as awesome as the Warheads were.

I loved my Warheads. But sold them as soon as I heard MS had changed their proprietary wireless tech. If you're still clinging onto them...sell them, or carry on using them with your 360.

They'll never have chat functionality for Xbox One.

 

To anyone hoping for a "patch"

The wireless unit for the warheads uses a chip that was designed to communicate with the 360, and send the chat signal wirelessly to the headset. The Xbox One uses a completely different codec.

Also, how would they patch it? There's no USB port to attach the base unit to a PC and apply a new firmware.

I'm not trying to rub anyone up the wrong way. Just trying to prevent future disappointment, cos it's never happening!

I have the triiton warhead headphones sat on the side gathering dust.

Last night whilst playing a game with friends the wife complained about the game noise, so today i took the microsoft headphones to pieces and tie rapped the earpiece of the microsoft headset to the tritton mic boom unplugged the tritton mic boom put the
circular part of the microsoft mic boom to the left ear cup and plugged the tritton boom back in to hold the mic in place ( it took me 15 minutes to do the whole proceedure ).

I think this will work until something else gets sorted.

I will try it tonight and let you know.

 

Tried it last night, it worked a treat, my mic was a bit quiet due to it being further than than the tritton mic but i speak quietly any way.

Try it out, it works

 

Has anyone heard anything about this or has it been confirmed?
