Halo 4 - Map Pass - 2014 - Content Not Listed within the In-Game Menu for Free Download

I bought Halo 4 and the War Games Map Pass back when they originally came out. I played up until a little after the Crimson Map Pack came out, which I was able to download for free via the In-Game menu, thanks to owning the War Games Map Pass.

I haven't had the chance to play Halo 4 since that time, and between then and now, the Majestic Map Pack and the Castle Map Pack have both been released.

I started up my copy of Halo 4 yesterday, but there was no way for me to download those Map Packs, for free, which I should be able to do since I have owned the Map Pass since day 1.

The In-Game Menu, which is accessed after booting the game up, lists only 20 items within it. It lists the Champions DLC, Episodes 6-10 of Spartan Ops, Forge Mode DLC, and it lists lots of useless content, such as Dashboard Theme, Gamer Pic Packs, Avatar
Items, and other things that have nothing to do with playing the game.

Crimson Map Pack, Majestic Map Pack, and the Castle Map Pack are no where to be found in those 20 items.

NO, I did not or have not ever downloaded those items. They are NOT in my download history for me to re-download because I never downloaded them to begin with.

...and NO, my HDD is not full, it still has 100 GB of space so the issue is not that either, I have actually tried to search how to solve this issue, but there are no solutions that are helpful for my issue.

No, restarting my Xbox won't work either. That solution only worked on the day that the map packs were released. It has been months since they have been released, and I assure you, I've restarted my Xbox360 in that time.

The only one in my download history is the Crimson Map Pack, which I have installed on my xbox, it isn't an issue. But it is impossible for me to download the Majestic Map Pack or the Castle Map Pack without being charged a 2nd time. They are listed on the
Xbox Dashboard, where they state "Do not download this here if you own the War Games Map Pass, download it In-Game or you will be charged a 2nd time". But you know what? I'll repeat it again, those items are not listed within the In-Game Menu.

There doesn't seem to be any way to prompt the game to bring up those items either. In matchmaking, those maps will only appear if EVERYONE in the match setup owns those Map Packs, and since I don't, they will NEVER show up.

I feel extremely cheated and scammed.

I paid 2000 MSP for that Map Pass and I have not received the content that was promised with it.

Season passes not working.

I have the limited edition Halo 4 xbox, so I am supposed to get all map packs for free, but it is making me pay. I also paid for creature slaughterdome, and season pass for Borderlands 2, downloaded them, and it won't work. I can download content from season
pass, but in the downloadable content menu on BL2, it says not downloaded.

 

Bought Halo 4 LE but not getting map pack

Hey Sammy, have you tried downloading the actual Crimson map pack from your in-game menu? That is where it will be available. As long as you entered a code for a War Game pass then you will be able to download the map pack for free through the in-game menu,
it will not start on it's own. To get to the in-game store, load Halo 4, press Start, and select “Xbox LIVE Marketplace”. The DLC you want to download will be called “Crimson Map Pack (Season Pass)”.

 

Hi Wanderer, Try clearing your console's cache by going to setting, system, storage, highlight hdd, press y button, select clear cache and then restart your console and start the game to see if the in game store has the content available. If that doesn't
work try deleting the Halo 4 game and War Games pass and try re-downloading them again. Hope this helps.

 

Is it possible that the Map Packs automatically downloaded themselves?

I have them on my hard drive, but to my knowledge I never actually clicked to download them.

What will happen if I ever delete them from my HDD?

Can I get them back?
