Halo 4 - How does the SAVE game feature work?

New to console gaming. Just got an XBOX 360 with Holiday bundle. Came with Halo 4 and Tomb Raider. Question regarding the SAVE feature for Halo 4.

When I save a game and then "Resume Campaign", the game doesn't reload back to exactly where I saved. Seems it reloads to the last checkpoint to where I'm progressing from? Is this the way it's supposed to work?

I used to be a PC gamer and usually the SAVE and Reload brings you back to exactly where you saved the game.

My 250GB Hard drive just stopped my xbox working.

I've just had the same problem, 250gb HDD - no longer being recognised in my XBox. Didnt set up the cloud save feature either so BYE BYE to,

All my minecraft levels

MW1, MW2, MW3 save games

Black ops1 save game

Forza 3 save game

Halo 3, ODST, Reach...and bare in mind Halo 4 gets released in 50mins.....

Borderlands 1 & 2

Battlefield....

All game data gone

Crappy xbox!

Now, where is my PS3..?

Dark Souls Won't Hold a Save

Blitz - How do you connect to the emulation? It does allow me to save to the cloud.

Sparkle - It actually uses an auto save feature.

Yes it will restart you at the last checkpoint for the game. So no worries that you may be doing something incorrectly.

If I could have any new feature, I'd opt for a built-in Theater mode for all games. It would work similarly to Halo's saved films, where the system records all activity for a couple of days and you can choose which films to edit and/or save. If it had
a "upload to YouTube" feature, imagine how awesome that would be.

Always thought of it as a loop hole of allowing people to access their games no matter where they are. I have always hoped that not too many people catch on because I would hate to see it go away. I use the feature often to play couch co-op/competitive on
games without split-screen, saves me a lot of money. I still have two copies of Halo 4, Defiance and Unreal Tournament 3 learning about the way the digital games work was a sigh of relief for my wallet. (Ok Halo 4 does have 4 player split-screen, but sometimes
I get a big ol group together).

Thanks for the reply but that isn't how the Family Pack works. Anything purchased under the "master account" is available to any other account on that same console. This is how it works for all other games but does not seem to be this way in Halo 4 for
some reason.

Yeah but the actual Halo 4 game doesn't show that. I can see the achievement on XBox Live, but Halo 4 and Waypoint don't show that I've completed it. How does that happen?
