Halo 4 causing disconnection from router

First off, I have the games on demand version with most dlc's installed to hardrive on a September 2013 console. Haven't played the game in quite awhile (6 months or so). After playing 1 game of multiplayer, I tried to switch to Big Team Battles and it took
about 30 seconds of trying to load before disconnecting. I exited to dashboard, still disconnected. I then reset my console, keeping it off for about 30 seconds, yet still not connecting. Ran a connection test and found I couldn't connect to my router, yet
multiple tablets, computers, and another console were still connected fine. I have not seen this issue with any other game, I play modern warfare 3 very often without issue. I do not have any headsets or flash drives connected, just standard Microsoft wireless
controller. I would like to know if this is a common issue, or if it could even be a malicious software from a disgruntled player. Thank you for your time.

Xbox connection issues HELP!!!

Why do I only disconnect from an xbox live party when a certain person joins my party? It also causes whatever game I'm playing to lag and sometimes disconnect. Really frustrating. We both have open NAT types. Otherwise connection is flawless. Even have gone into my router settings and opened all necessary ports. PLEASE HELP!!!

Also, when first loading the game, the Halo 4 logo was frozen on screen for 20-30 seconds before it finally fired up. I was able to bring up the console menu as well as go to dashboard, so it wasn't a console freeze. Hope this helps with finding a cure.

Alright, I believe I found the issue. All user error lol. Hot room, plus extended duration of games and Netflix with no cool down breaks, equals halo 4 not wanting to work. If I turn my system off, even long enough for a smoke break, it tends to work just
fine. Thank you for your assistance anyways.
