Halo 3 (Xbox 360) online co-op not connecting

My friend and I have just bought two 360s to run through the Halo series while in lockdown. When trying to join a game for campaign were told our network setup is incompatible and that my NAT is OPEN but it tells him the same thing.

I've forwarded all the relevant ports, cleared my memory cache, reset the router, he bought a new router, and still no luck.

Can anyone please help?

Oh yeah, you talked about HALO Co-op.

HALO 5 is a SINGLE player game. You can only play co-op online.

But... The Master Chief Collection allows you to play all the previous HALO titles in Co-op.

The online Multiplayer was a mess when it launched but the local Co-op worked fine.

I think "Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate" features split screen co-op. I'll double check when I'm home.

Apparently it's not just the online co-op that's laggy, it's also the system link co-op, so your internet connection would not be relevant (tinyurl.com/halo-coop-lag).

Ok Mass Effect 3 has an online Co-op Horde mode only no Co-op Campaign

Halo Reach, Possibly it's first person not third person though and I don't know why but that makes a difference to some people, If you like Reach you would also like Halo 3 and Halo 3 ODST

Army of Two has Online co-op but the MP servers have been shut down

Army of Two the 40th day is still going and has online co-op Vs MP and a Survival Horde mode

GRAW 1 and 2, and GRFS are all Co-op Campaign (seperate in GRAW 1 and 2) and MP and have AI Hunting modes.

R6V 1 and 2 is FPS and has full co-op campaign, as well as MP and Terrorist hunt modes.

If your NAT type is strict or moderate, this usually impacts online performace.This can usualy be fixed easily depending on the router you
have. My old router had a plug and play feature, as is standard in most routers I believe, titled Universal Plug And Play, or UPaP. The easist method to fix this is usually to test your connection on your xbox. After the test is complete (it will return an
error) turn off UPaP. Run the test again, and it will return another error. Turning back on UPaP, than rerunning the test should not return an error anymore. This indicates you have fixed your issue.Accessing
your router settings is different depending on your router. There is normally a sticker or something of the sort on the bottom of the router with a 'default gateway' on, three types I've encourted are 198.something, 192.something, or 10.something. Enter this
number into a browser on your computer, and you may have to sign in. default usernames and passwords are usaully a combination of Adminstrator and Password, either lowercase of uppercase.Don't attempt
