    Halo 3 progress suddenly reset


    For some reason, my progress in Halo 3 was suddenly lost recently. When I log in, the option to continue is no longer there and it instead has the option to start a new game. I found that this was the case after both changing my gamer tag and plugging the
    Xbox in to a new TV. I don't see why either of these things would reset my progress, however. Even after plugging the Xbox back in to the TV it was previously hooked up to, nothing changed. Is my progress irretrievable at this point or are there other ways
    to troubleshoot the problem?

    not to mention that gamer progress will be reset for everyone when the game releases...happened with reach and halo 3 with some people who got the games early

    As i said,a fresh start.

    You will have your progress for Halo CE anniversary.

    Same for Halo 3.

    Same for Halo 4.

    And Halo Master Chief collection progress (brand new,like a new born baby).

    This is how i see it.Maybe there will be a special item for the ones who played them on Xbox 360.

    Count me in as yet another person who had their progress reset. I worked hard to get as far as I did (Mover III) and having the proof of that hard work wiped away took the wind out of my sails. Please give us our progress back!

    Happened to me too - I had been doing it solidly for 3-4 days a week since launch so was quite a ways in! Now back to the 2nd or 3rd punch card and the stamps available shot back up as if I never achieved them.

    I really hope this can be reset and we didn't lose all the progress. Fingers crossed....

    What was the update supposed to achieve anyway?
