Halo 3 Campaign doesn't load anymore!

Since this afternoon I want to resume the
Halo 3 campaign of the Master Chief
Collection and it remains for hours during the loading
screen.

Mission 8/11 (The Alliance).

The previous missions all went smoothly (last played on December 24th) and
now (not even on the mission
selection) I see just the loading screen for hours and nothing happens!

All other parts (Halo 1, 2 and 4) are loading normally.

Multiple new-installation (both the disc
and the update) also do nothing.

Please help and possibly fix.

Can't find any possibilities to contact 343 Industries directly.

Wait, Halo 4?

Everyone that beat Halo 3 on the LEGENDARY ending and watched ALL 4 cinemas knew that there would be a Halo 4.

It is true that Bungie is not making Halo anymore. 343 studios is now working on the next Halo and is also currently still working on Halo Reach.

I just hope the Halo 4 co-op campaign is as FUN as Halo 3 co-op campaign and with some huge epic Scarab battles. The Reach campaign was not that FUN at all and not a single Scarab battle.

 

Who won the prize?

I liked Halo 3, and I was +1ing you because of the Campaign, I don't care for the multiplayer anymore, but I disagree with you on it.

 

I just finished Halo 2: Anniversary Edition and wanted to start the Halo 3 Campaign. The game just stayed on the loading screen and never went anywhere.

I would like to see this addressed, as well.

 

No support by Mircrosoft or 343 Industries.

A user on facebook gave me the advise to try a cold reboot of the Xbox One, if a new-installation doesn't work.

Seemingly sometimes errors in the cache can block loading files of the level into the memory.

The cold reboot deletes this fragments.

Trying this, worked for me - nevertheless this needs a patch!

 

I'm also having this issue, it's very aggrivating needs to be fixed

 

Okay - so I just wen through a full power cycle from the tech support people (not just turning off and on) and it worked!

Here's the steps I was given;

1.) Go to "Settings" >> Disc & Blu-ray >> Persistent storage >> Clear persistent storage

2.) Press and hold the power button on the Xbox for 10 full seconds

3.) Unplug all cables from the Xbox

4.) Unplug power supply from the wall/surge protector and wait for the light on the "brick" to shut off

5.) While waiting for step 4, press and hold the power button on the Xbox for 2-3 seconds, repeating another 2 - 3 times; this will remove any residual power from the Xbox

6.) Once the light goes off the on "brick", reconnect the plugs to the Xbox, then the power supply back to the wall/surge protector

7.) Start your Xbox normally and try to start the campaign.

If it works, great!

If not, I would contact support, like I did.

Thanks for the tip Mad. just went through the steps and it worked for me. I shortened the process a bit. Just did step 1, 2, 4, 6, 7 and it worked like a champ. basically just delete the Persistent Storage and pull the plug till the brick cycles off.
Then plug back in and boom you're in.
