Halo 3 and Reach Download Restarts at 80% in Xbox 360

I am trying to download and install Halo 3 and Reach.

The download reaches 80% then it either restarts from 0% (it leaves an incomplete file which is the size of the game)or it stops and leaves a 40 KB corrupt file.

I have heard that this issue stems from region differences but I migrated my account to my physical region and I also performed a license transfer.

I had migrated my account yesterday and I heard it takes time for the account to get migrated but from what I see my account has completely migrated to the new location as my marketplace looks different.

I have cleared the system cache and I think I deleted the marketplace cache long back when I was trying to download Halo 3, but these actions didn't help.

Just to let you know I bought this game when my account's region was Saudi Arabia while my physical location was India. I yesterday had migrated my account from Saudi Arabia to India.

I have also tried deleting and redownloading my profile, but that also didn't help.

I have the same problem. I just bought GTA IV and CoD World at War and when they reach 80% they go back to 0

I tried changing my location, cleaning the cache in the hard drive and deleting and downloading again mi xbox live profile. None resolve the problem...

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand trying to install a game that keeps restarting. The migration can take time in some cases. We always recommend to give it a good 24-48 hours. This is not always the case but it can take this long on rare
occasions. Also, with changing regions, it could be a availability issue. Meaning the game may not be available in your new region.

Steps

1. Delete any corrupted game files

2.Clear the Cache on all of your storage devices and restart your xbox 360

3.Log into your account and start the download for the game you wish to install.

4.When the game download reaches 70%, start an ARCADE game and play it as long as it doesn’t stop your download

5.The game will successfully pass the 79% Glitch mark as long as you play the ARCADE game until you receive a notification saying the download is completey

*Must be an ARCADE game

*If it doesn’t work at the 70% mark, then try 60 or 50.

*Use a wired connection for a faster download

I am having the same problem with three of my games on my 360. Gears of War 3, Ninja Gaiden 3 and Kingdoms of Amalur. They all just keep failing to download properly and start over again once they reach 80%. I have tried resetting my 360, clearing all caches,
and downloading to three different hard drives all with the same result. I've also tried changing my connection between wired and wireless with no difference. It just leaves a 40kb corrupted file for each of them. My account and system have been in the same
region since I first bought and set them up.

I gave up trying to get these from the constant wasting of my time and bandwidth. With others having the same issue with some of their games this looks like a problem on Microsoft's end. It needs to be addressed so people can play the games they have spent
their money on.
