Here's a link to an article. Halo 2 Anniversary Rumoured For Xbox One Release - IGN just a rumor. But lets talk about it. I think it could do really good, if all they do is update the graphics for it. And not mess with
the online, like putting armor abilities and assassinations in. Basically leave the online alone. I do mess duel wielding.

Not really a fan of Halo. Really loved Fable 1 & 2, pgr3 & 4 and the first 2 gears games.

I heard about this. Be great year for Halo fans if we end up with Halo 5 and Halo 2 Anniversary in 2014.

 

They're never going to release 2 major Halo games in the same year. As far as Halo 2 Anniversary, just connect the dots. This year is the 10 year anniversary of Halo 2, just like for Fable which just got an Anniversary game. Also, Microsoft has been very
weird about the name of this Halo game. They don't want to call it Halo 5, they just keep saying it's a Halo game coming this year for Xbox One. I remember seeing an older article saying 343/MS was talking about Halo 2 Anniversary and that article linked above
is also good evidence. If the Halo game for Xbox One was really Halo 5, they would've called it Halo 5. They wouldn't have beaten around the bush on something that major. Halo 2 Anniversary would sell like crazy and a Halo 5 beta key in it would be even better.
MS would make some serious cash. It all adds up too well and is too good an opportunity for them to pass up. We're definitely getting Halo 2 Anniversary this year.

 

Daftlink is right. If they released to Halo games in the same year they would be shooting themselves in the foot. I have read many articles that say they are neither confirming nor denying the possibility of a Halo 2 remake. But then they have had later
interviews when reps of 343/MS say they have pondered the idea of a remake. Then that big leak on Neogafs website about everything MS is planning on doing this year. If they don't make a Halo 2 remake they are potentially slapping every person that bought
Halo 2 in the first place on the original Xbox. This was the game that set the boundaries for online multiplayer gameplay. They have to show some type of love for the franchise because that made MS. In regards to the video that they showed during E3/CES (I
don't remember which one it was) I believe they made it that way to leave the imagination and possibility open, or the possibility that are going to change the story line around a little bit because Halo 2's story mode was not good. Me and most people I believe
would be happy if they left the physics/gameplay alone and just updated the graphics to be HD. They don't necessarily have to re-develop the whole game. Heck some people might be happy if they just ported it over to Xbox One as an arcade game and charged $10.
All in all I believe Halo 2 is coming out 2014 and Halo 5? will either be 2015/16 depending on the success of the anniversary edition of Halo 2.

Its a possibility Microsoft did say "Your next halo journey will come in 2014". They didn't say which "Halo" game though.

 

This again really, have a remake of the first game, but not the second one as well...

I am hoping they do a re-make and still keep the original Halo 2 Multiplayer intact unlike the Halo: CE Anniversary.

Halo 2 multiplayer was the best. If they polished up the graphics and released it as is, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Personally, I would rather play H2 MP again than have a new Halo game.

 

I just don't see any way Halo 5 is coming this year. Halo 2 yes almost guaranteed for sure since it is the 10 year anniversary. I was hoping Halo 2 would come to the 360 but it might not happen.

 

What would be great is if they made it cross platform between Xbox 360 and Xbox one. But Microsoft wouldn't do that because it would hurt sales of the Xbox one. And other people, plus Microsoft, will say that the server system configurations between the
Xbox 360 and Xbox one won't work together. But I would say if Microsoft would try to implement cross platform, they could do it, I just don't think they will or want to.
