    Halo 2 post-patch or not?


    I played a lot of H2 and I remember that there was a patch in April of '05 that changed a lot of things, most notably grenades and melees. Does anyone have any information as to whether they will be releasing the game with this patch already implemented?
    I really hope they are, as the patch balanced things better imo.

    I'm also wondering if they made H2 Anniversary more like pre-patch or post-patch, but I'm much more curious as to OG H2.

    Halo is moving to Steam?

    ^Halo 2 PC servers are shutting down on Feb 15.

    Also Halo 2 isn't available for digital download anywhere legally. (Just go on piratebay and download via torrent, you'll still need an activation key or patch to get past the DRM.)

    I don't have the link on hand, but I read awhile back that it will be post-patch.

    I am using Halo 2 version 1.0.4.129. I have found 1.2 patch but it doesn't update the game.

    Release game now, patch later makes these consoles online-only

    A 15GB day one patch for Halo MCC, and multiplayer isn't working well despite the game has received at least 3 other Xbox Live Updates since it came out. I still like Halo though. Halo 2 MCC Campaign looks amazing and got some fun out of it. Haven't gotten
    around to completing much in the game as I like to play other stuff on Xbox. That 15GB patch is the biggest patch I've had to download day one for any game in my life.

    Who here actually played Halo CE back in the day?

    Halo: Combat Evolved was the sole reason we bought Xbox, and was the Halo formula I loved. Everything went down hill after that, and I never cared much for the Halo 2 MP, but I understand why people did. Halo 3 was a good until the BR patch.
