Halo 2 Game Saves

Is anyone else having issues with game saves during the Halo 2 single player campaign? Essentially, I cannot use the "Save/Quit" option during H2. Checkpoints work if I die, but any attempt to save a game after a checkpoint is futile. Instead of leaving
me at the most recent checkpoint, a game save simply restarts the mission.

Halo 4 Disc Doesn't Work. Please Help Me

Have you tried what I suggested? Delete _everything_ Halo 4, except your save files. Put Disc 2 in, start the game from Disc 2.

 

My 250GB Hard drive just stopped my xbox working.

I've just had the same problem, 250gb HDD - no longer being recognised in my XBox. Didnt set up the cloud save feature either so BYE BYE to,

All my minecraft levels

MW1, MW2, MW3 save games

Black ops1 save game

Forza 3 save game

Halo 3, ODST, Reach...and bare in mind Halo 4 gets released in 50mins.....

Borderlands 1 & 2

Battlefield....

All game data gone

Crappy xbox!

Now, where is my PS3..?

 

I've had this exact same issue! To the point where I can't even chip away at a campaign mission without worrying If i have to play it all over again if I don't finish it. Can anyone confirm if this is isolated to Halo 2 or not?

 

Having same issue in Halo 2, but it seems random... sometimes reloads at the last checkpoint and sometimes reloads at the beginning of the mission even though I saved after a checkpoint well into the mission. Can't figure out any pattern to know when it
will save correctly or when it will make me restart at beginning of mission.

Haven't played the other campaigns to know if they have the same issue or not.

 

I've had this issue for the entire Halo2 campaign. Every gawdamn time, I've had to start a mission over. I don't recall it happening in this happening on the CE campaign and haven't played 3&4 yet in the MCC.

It is extremely annoying as you gentlemen have stated. I'm done with this crap until a patch comes out.

 

Same *** thing here. I'm tired of restarting a whole mission, saving it (for no reason), then try to remember which mission I was on last when restarting. Halo need to fix all of this ***!!!!!

Same thing is happening to me so I'm glad to know it's not just my console/game at fault. The plus side of this is that restarting a mission allows me another chance to see the terminal movies which 50% of the time don't play even though the achievement
pops. It's like The Halo Channel App crashes when I unlock a new clip.

This really is a bug-ridden game but overall I'm still having a blast.

 

The entire game have game saves issues... I play them all in order and when I get back for each one of them always star to the first part on each level. Is annoying.

 

Just resumed play after work but am getting a message saying "Syncing Data for Halo Master Chief Collection" followed by "Unable to retrieve latest save game data. Try again or continue offline."

If I continue offline, all my cross-game achievement progress will be lost won't it?

 

*** you 343. i just played through the worst garbage rapefest horseshit on legendary where a bunch of brutes *** your life over. you die immediately over and over and the only way to make through is sheer LUCK after maybe an hour (maybe more) of trying.

a *** joke. nothing works. multiplayer is ***. progress won't save. can't even watch the dumb ridley scott shitfest either because the menu music won't stop playing (i'm not joking - the menu music WON'T STOP PLAYING). every aspect of this game is a broken

Having save game issues as well. Very frustrating. Always restarts at the beginning of the current mission. This is happening to me on Halo CE and Halo 2 anniversary. Disappointing and frustrating to say the least. Hopefully a patch will be issued soon.
