    Half of my games are not working.


    Literally 2 months after my warranty is up the console no longer recognizes half of my game discs. Gives me the error saying to put in the disc. Same going for some of the digital downloads as well. How can I insert the disc if there isn't any to insert???
    Some games will play perfectly, and others it takes me an hour of pressing play before it actually plays. As well in the setting it's checked to start the game automatically when you insert the disc however it no longer does that. You have to manually start
    the game every time. I chatted with tech support and because i'm just past my warranty the only option available is to send mine in and get a replacement. We all know this takes forever, so I'm expected to wait without any console for what could be a few months
    before i get a replacement. This is unacceptable for me as I use the console for TV, movies and pretty much everything. And all those things are working fine, just having issue with reading games. But because some bad apples happen to sell they're faulty machine
    to someone else or keep both (what tech support says anyway), microsoft won't send me a new one and then I send mine back to them. So in order to receive a new console I have to wait without any form of entertainment for a few months or go buy a new one.
    I've also read up that a few other users are having the same issues. Oh well, PS4 is sounding pretty good right about now. One less loyal xbox fan here that's for sure.

    Microsoft says, all of my contetnt can be transfer safely, and working after migration!

    half of my games are working another half is not, how it can be.

    and cant buy tha games again... microsofts is terrible

    I have noticed that people were having this problem a couple of years ago. Half of my DVD's stopped working in my XBox1 overnight. Blu ray discs and games are working fine. Also the DVD's do work half of the time just not all of the time. It is massively
    annoying. I have reinstalled the blu ray player app but this hasn't solved the problem. Other than fitting a new disc drive is there anyway to solve this?

    I just told you that you don't need to physically have the old Xbox. Follow the instructions in the link provided in the post above and license transfer.

    Hi,

    I'm not sure why you're not able to license transfer? You should be able to by following the directions
    here. You don't need to have the old console in order to do a license transfer. You'd only need to have access to the new console, you select the console id or serial number (whichever comes
    up) of the console you wish to transfer licenses from.
