    Half my games just deleted themselves and I don't know why.


    I'm using a 2TB hardrive on an Xbox One X. Fired up the Xbox just now for the first time today and none of my games were appearing in the "installed " section, all were under the "ready to install" section. I restarted my console using the "restart console"
    function under "system" on the xbox menu. Half my games, 31, now appear in the "installed" section and 30 appear under "ready to install". It'll be unfortunate if I have to download all these games again but it seems like that is going to be the case unless
    anyone has some suggestions.

    Sorry to hear there is an issue with the games.
    I suggest to try troubleshooting the console operating system by performing a soft factory reset and keeping games and apps

    It sounds like your hard drive might be bad. Can you try it on a friend's XBOX?

    The only thing I could think of is that something went wrong with your external hard drive.

    I ended up fixing it by unplugging and plugging back in external hardrive. Thanks for the suggestions and replies.
