Had to hard reset the Xbox one x for my network signals to appear?

Hello I recently purchased the Xbox one x, been having no problems until this morning when it wouldn’t detect any of my networks through WiFi ( my other devices could )

Long story short a hard reset on the Xbox one x fixed it and now I’m connected again with NAT open.

Should I be concerned that I had to do this or was it just a normal software glitch and hard resetting the Xbox one x reset the cache? I just want to make sure the WiFi card hardware is fine, but besides having to hard reset ( hold the button on the console
for 5 - 10 seconds until it turns off and then turn it on again ) it’s perfect now again.

Xbox One X Won't Connect to Xbox Live

Hello,

My Xbox One X never is able to connect to Xbox Live when I first turn it on. I never had this issue with my Xbox One. I always have to Reset my Alternate Mac Address and usually Hard Reset my Xbox One X. I have ran all the connection tests on my Xbox
One X as well as reset my Internet Connection. But no success. I have had this issue since I got my Xbox One X.

I had a scare yesterday. My Xbox One wasn't finding any signal from my cable tv box through the HDMI in. Luckily a hard reset has fixed the problem.

and for the record I purchased at launch and it was fine the whole time until this morning, and I fixed it with the above mentioned hard reset.

*** So why am I posting this if I fixed it so easily ? To make sure this is a standard procedure and there’s nothing out of the ordinary with the new console.

 

same issues except hard reset hasn’t helped. The device still has same issue. When it happens I instantly connect other devices to that network and they all function without issue.

 

Exact same problem here. Having to hard reset my X about every other day to get it to connect to Live. Sometimes the console is able to get on the Internet and I can use Edge but my digital purchases games won't work because the console thinks I'm offline.
So frustrating!

 

I'm having the same problem pretty much every time I turn on my Xbox.

I was wondering if it has something to do with the latest preview build? It only started happening a few days ago and was perfectly fine the weeks before

I'm not on the preview program and I'm having the problem. Been doing this since I unboxed it so I don't think it's related.

 

I'm having issues with the Ethernet connection. Have to unplug and plug in the cable each time.

Every other device has no issues with the router.

I assume its an issue with the network card

 

same issue here, having to constantly restart or turn wifi off / on to get connected to network. Weird network settings says I'm connected but nothing works.

 

Yes, same issue for me. I've had my One X for a couple weeks, and after a couple of days, every time I turn it on I need to reset in order to connect to wi-fi. Super annoying, and running an ethernet cable to the box isn't an option. When connected, it seems
to run fine, but its just a pain. Anyone have a fix?

 

I had similar wi-fi/network recognition problems across multiple Xbox One S consoles. Would also get randomly kicked off of Live with frequent disconnects. Ended up returning those Xbox One S consoles and haven't bought an Xbox since.

was hoping this issue would be resolved with the Xbox One X, but it looks like that's not the case. Guess I'll be holding off on getting the X for awhile now.

and it's so weird, because as other posters here have said, other devices can connect to the same network with no problems.
