    I know parts of this question have been answered, but I haven't seen my exact problem solved. Sooooo....

    I bought my Xbox One at launch. I think it's dying, but I hope not (I can't afford to buy another, and upgrading to the new consoles isn't an option for a while). Earlier this year it started having problems and would not load past the green screen. After
    several minutes it went to a dark screen and that was it. I read up on it and the factory reset (I kept the data)t worked.... for a while. Maybe two months later it happened again. Did another factory reset and it was fine for a month or two, then it happened
    again. Same solution, a few weeks later, same problem. In total, I've had to do maybe 5-6 factory resets over the course of the year.

    I did a factory reset the other day and now I'm getting the "0x8027025a" error on multiple apps, which causes all sorts of issues and I usually have to restart the console as nearly everything freezes.

    I have many theories (hard drive corruption, maybe?), but if someone has a good fix, let me know. It's probably not worth the cost of a repair. I'm happy to replace the hard drive, but I hear Microsoft frowns on opening the console, and I can't find a way
    to transfer the data anyway. Any ideas?

    PS. The Xbox One randomly turned on a few times over the last month with no one touching it and no input, so 50/50 it's haunted.

    Are you getting any error messages when trying to load the game or is nothing happening at all?

    Also is this only happening for one game?

    If you haven't tried it yet you should unplug the console for 30 seconds

    If this fails try to uninstall the game and reinstall it, the file could have been damaged during the factory reset

    Nothing is happening at all. We have tried 2 different games and nothing happens when inserted. Usually that's where the games auto load?
    It may sound silly but have you tried manually telling the game to load in the my games and apps page?

    Is it just games or will apps such as youtube not load either?

    You could also try going onto the store and finding a free to play game with a small file size to see if that will work

    Nothing is happening at all. We have tried 2 different games and nothing happens when inserted. Usually that's where the games auto load?

    its best to just do a factory reset but make sure to keep your games and apps unless you have an external hard drive with all your stuff on it....I have had that code multiple times and after the reset, it works fine
