    I was not sure exactly where to post this, so please forgive me if this is the wrong place.

    So, originally I've had a microsoft account attached to the email address: [Mod Removed Personal Information]

    It was the account which I've used for my xbox profile for years.

    It has been about a year since I've last logged in, and wanted to buy a new game,

    so naturally I tried to log on to my account from my laptop.

    For some reason I was notified that I had "lost access to my email account", and the page prompted me to create an alias.

    Not knowing much what it meant, I created a new primary alias named: [Mod Removed Personal Information], and logged on.

    Then, I proceeded to buy the game.

    I have realised the account was not attached to my home console for some odd reason (it used to be),

    so in order to install the game I went on my console and tried to log in to my profile.

    The profile was not accessible, so I thought maybe if I added a new profile using my alias everything would be sorted out.

    It should be noted I have to use the alias to log in to my account, and cannot log on using my gmail address.

    Unfortunately, that wasn't the case: A brand new profile was attached to the alias, with non of the previous data carrying over -

    No achievements, no saves, no friends, nothing.

    I don't even know whether this profile took ownership over games bought with the gmail address or not (since the original profile still exists on my console, defined as the home console).

    I really cannot understand if both profiles are attached to the same microsoft account, since they're attached to different email addresses, but at the same time both addresses seem to be attached to each other (with the gmail being the original address
    and the outlook being the primary alias).

    All I really want to do is to regain access to my old profile which is attached to my gmail address, and to be able to access the old stuff as well as this new game.

    I found this entire scenario to be ridiculously confusing.

    Please advise ASAP.

    On the computer on the Microsoft website, I can log into the account with the alias address, but not with the original one. If I click on the option to change an alias, I can see the account is bound to the original address, since it requests to input
    it. It also seems as if it is a requirement to have a primary alias, although I never used to have one until now.

    Follow Up:

    Out of frustration of not being able to log into my old xbox profile, I tried to reset the password of the account by providing the original address.

    Unexpectedly, this has worked and I'm able once again to log in with the original address on the website and also log in on my console with my old xbox profile. The weird thing is I'm still able to log in with the outlook address, as if it were a completely
    separate account.

    I should probably mention that no past info (such as purchase history or friends) from before the game purchase of today is seen when I log in with the outlook address, and also today's purchase is no where to be found in purchase history when I log in with
    my gmail.

    Another very important detail is when I log in using my gmail and I go to the place where you can see your aliases, the primary alias IS the gmail account and NOT the outlook one (!!!), as well as there being another alias (which I probably have created
    long ago).

    This makes me believe there has been some kind of an error when I couldn't log on in the first place with the prompt to enter an alias because of "losing access to my email account". I have no clue why this has
    even been prompted.

    I also can't make any sense of why it seems like there are two separate accounts -

    Not once was I brought up to a registration page, and also the outlook "account" is indeed linked to my original address and had the same password to log in.

    If anyone can make sense of any of this, it'd be nice to know what the deal is.

    Also, is there any way of transferring the ownership of the newly bought game to my original "account"?

    Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. It does sound like a second account was made somehow. We recommend contacting a live agent directly so that they can bring up both Gamertags at once. At that point, it would be easy to figure out what exactly

    As for your question, there is no way to transfer the license of a game from one Xbox account to another. You can set up the

    home console feature     to share licenses to a console though so that you can play the games from that account without having to sign in as that account.

    1. Why are you paying $10 a month to use Xbox Live? I pay around 3.25 a month.

    2. Add an alias to your account and all emails will go to the alias and you use it as a proof. Thats what I did when I lost access to my email address.
