had 2 xbox live gold memberships on 360 - only 1 transferred to xbox one?

Just bought xbox one. have 2 xbox live gold memships on old 360. my xbox live gold membership automatically transferred to the xbox one when I first signed in from it, but my son's did not. His profile/gamertag is set up as a child account under my login
and I purchased his gold membership last year with one of those xbox live gold prepaid cards. How do I transfer his membership over to the xbox one? It looks like his gamertag came over to the one just fine, it's just his gold membership that's missing from
his account.

License Transfer Q

Everything on Xbox LIVE resets at around the same time and date that you first transferred your licenses. So for example, if you had license transferred 4 months ago around 1 PM then you'd be able to do another license transfer 4 months later around 1 PM. This
would be the same if you had done it at 5 PM, etc etc.

This is also the same for Xbox LIVE suspensions, and gold memberships ending.

 

Xbox Gold Problems?

If the memberships were transferred from Xbox One to the 360, does it allow them to keep Xbox Gold?

 

Since his account is set up under your login, it appears as though the ONE sees that as sharing your gold. I think you will have to separate the accounts for his gold to work. Just so you know, if his account is set up under your login, he really does not
need a gold account as he can share your gold account.

As stated by oOUTSIDERo62 only your main account will need an xbox LIVE Gold subscription on the xbox one. As long as you have set the console as your "home" console and have allowed sharing between your accounts, your son's account should have access to
Gold.

When signed in on your son's account are you able to play online and access gold content?

I would suggest checking your subscription information on both accounts which you can do so via account.microsoft.com or via your console under the specific account you wish to check.

 

Thanks for the replies. I can confirm that my son IS able to use my gold subscription on the ONE. I had to further tweak his "child" privacy to allow him to play multiplayer games (Destiny), but once that was changed, it worked fine with no need to try to
access his gold subscription. Thanks again!
