had 2 GOLD accounts for xbox 360 and want to merge to ONE account on XBOX ONE...HELP PLEASE

I have had an xbox 360 for a while, and just got the xbox one....so I used to have to have an xbox live GOLD membership for ME AND a separate GOLD account for MY BROTHER.

So now I just need one GOLD account on XBOX ONE, right? How do I merge the 2 accts...do I just add my brother to my family, and then cancel his auto payment?

First time use/setup

Hi. I've bought a day one edition for my boys a surprise for Xmas but not had a chance to test it yet. Because one of my lads already has a 360 in his room with his own gold account, I am going to set up the xbox One with his as the primary account fir the gold access as that way we can use the same gold account on his 360 and the shared Xbox one.

However, if I set the Xbox one up late one night presumably I will have to add the primary/gold account that it will use (I.e my son's) as part of the initial set up . Then I'll try it with one of the games. So by doing this, when he next uses his 360 will he see that his account had been used on an Xbox one? Obviously I don't want him to suspect there is an Xbox one in the house!!!

Account merging?

I have two accounts, one for Xbox 360, one for Xbox one. When I started playing Xbox one, my first account freaked out, so I made a second one. I had used both extensively and have worked up to over 40k of gamerscore. I only just managed to recover my old
account and I'm hoping to get an Xbox one x, I don't want to have to use the 'home Xbox juggling' routine just to play my old games. Can you please help me merge my accounts safely?

Both of you just need to set the same Xbox one as your home account which ever account has the most time left will be the one that you go by for when it expires. There us no way to merge the two and have the time add together.

I have the same problem. Entered the code for a 2 gold trial to enable cloud storage but console not accepting as a gold account. Xbox 360 account has already had a gold account which now has run out haven't renewed as have a one now and wanted to transfer
games to one through cloud.

I seem to understand that you want to "merge" two different accounts; this is not possible.

The only thing you can do is add the account you are using in your One S and One X to One.

The Xbox One only requires one active gold membership for that console. Anyone that then signs into that console will have their own gold membership. It's not possible to merge these accounts if that's what you're inquiring about. Each account will continue
to be it's own separate entity with it's own gamerscore, saves, etc. You just won't have to pay for their Xbox LIVE Gold memberships if they wish to exclusively play on the Xbox One console and not go back to their Xbox 360.

If anyone wishes to use Xbox LIVE on their Xbox 360 console they will need a gold membership for the account that wishes to play online. The gold sharing feature is only available for the Xbox One.

If they were willing to share the same Gamertag/MS Account then yes. If they want separate Gamertags/MS Accounts then no. Currently there is not a family plan for the Xbox 360 so if 2 accounts within the same household want Gold, then both will require a
separate subscription. If you have an Xbox One, only 1 account will need Gold and an unlimited amount of accounts within the household can use gold. Hope this helps!
