Hacking threat

So just recently I encountered a player on destiny and as we played CO OP for a couple of hours it was noticed that many of the players friends were being hacked an having their personal info stolen and gamertags. I'm really concerned here and I blocked
all communications sent a report etc... And now I'm just scared I may be at risk, Anything I can do to prevent this and do anything if something happens?

Although you have right to be concerned, directly naming other people's gamertag's is against forum rules. The best action for you to take is to file a complaint on the person threatening you and to speak to an Xbox support staff about the situation. Good

Filing a complaint and blocking communications is all you need to do. As long as you don't give out any account information, you'll be fine.

The best thing I would recommend you and your friend do is avoid player and block communications. If you have any friends is common with this player, you may want to consider removing them, or asking if they would be willing to remove the offending player
from their list.

Depending on what games you play, you may also want to change your privacy settings so that your recently played list is not visible, so that they cannot follow you from lobby to lobby.

If you receive harassing or threatening text or voice communications, remember to file a complaint to XBL Enforcement and they will investigate.
