Hacker takes me offline

So once again I came across a dimwit who thinks he is awesome because he can hack. He joins my party and starts talking trash on everyone and saying "I will DDOS you, kid, if you don't go outside". To which I, the party leader, replied with "You're telling
people to go outside and get off video games yet you are playing video games. This is why you are a hypocrite". He said "I will DDOS you", to which my answer was "Is that a threat? You do know DDOSing is a federal crime, right?". He then tried talking more
***, so I removed him from the party and set it to invite only. About a minute later I'm kicked offline. My Xbox One says "Connect to Xbox Live", so I decide to check my phone's connection to the internet. Sure enough, my internet was down. This isn't the
first time I ran into someone who thinks they are cool and tough for being able to commit a federal crime, and both times the same thing happened, everything went offline. Last time it took about 10 minutes for everything to come back online. That was about
1 year ago. This time, I'm reporting this with my 4G before my internet comes back up. The hacker was also using a voice modifier

I just don't understand why so many dimwits think it is okay and cool to hack and commit federal crimes, and why they think it makes them tough to hide behind a computer and boot people offline. Most people that hide behind a computer and act big and tough
will run from an actual fight. It is quite sad. On the bright side though, it got me off my xbox one and I now have a reason to vacuum the house.

My Xbox won't connect to Xbox live after some person messaged me saying "want to get booted?" Is there anyway to fix my connection or do I need to wait until a certain time?

If it's your internet, then you would need to contact your ISP to alert them and they can help you get back online.

also what you want to do is call Xbox at 1(800) 642-7676 they should be able to help you there just try and get through to an agent and tell them there.

 

Phone support can't do anything. Since DDoS is done through your internet and not Live, you would need to contact your ISP to alert them to what is happening. You can file a complaint on the other user via the console in order for the enforcement team to
investigate and possibly ban the user.
