hacked / kicked from black ops1 lobby

hi everyone, was playing multiplayer/online black ops1 on my 360 Tuesday 24th feb. joined a lobby, wmd game started, then I got some lad saying I better leave b4 he kicks me,, so I was yeh yeh heard it all b4 big bad hacker,, then he said im shuting your
internet down now too , I was yeh yeh, then in a few seconds I was kicked from lobby, xbox live went off, then all our internet at home went off, only got it back on after virgin media gave us a new modem as they could not reset my modem because of errors....

has this happened to anyone else and would it just of been a ddos attack, if so how did he get my modem mac address and ip address thru xbox ty

Modded Lobbies

Black ops is hacked! Today I was sent to one. First time I have ever encountered a modded lobby. How can u prevent myself from getting hacked?

Firstly I would like to thank you for you post and to apologies about the problem that you have experienced, I understand that this is a very frustrating situation and for myself have been on the receiving end of a DDoS attack.

If you still have the message from the person who threatened the attack please submit a player review to Xbox Live and aviod the attacker in the future by blocking them as this will stop anymore communications between you and the attacker.

How can I find out who attacked me?

To determine the identity of the individual who initiated a DoS or DDoS attack on your Xbox 360 console or your computer, contact your ISP.

Note DoS and DDoS attacks are sometimes used as retaliation following online multiplayer gameplay. DoS and DDoS attackers also sometimes threaten the players whose devices they later attack with comments such as "I'm going to IP boot you," "I'm going
to flood your IP," or "I'm going to boot you off the Internet."

If you believe you know the identity of the attacker, you may want to submit a player review, avoid the threatening individual in the future, and play online games only with friends and
trusted individuals.

I am sorry about the problem that you have had and i hope in future you do not come across anymore attacks.

[/quote] the first thing would be knowing what a modded lobby is. just because you lose does not mean the game is hacked, and for the record there are NO modded lobbies or "hacks" on xbox live for black ops.
