    Hacked internet, but they installed illegally their VPN--How do I remove it?


    My xbox360 got hacked into, via some horrid neighbors. They had spliced physically into our cable/ISP line. They installed their own VPN on my xboxm to hijack my gold live account. I can sign in ok, but it signs me out shortly afterwards, connecting me to
    their vpn. I did a factory reset, lost all game content. On the system info pagem is their vpn info, at bottom of that page.

    How do I remove it? Is there a series of keys to manipulate on controller to remove it? Or do I take back to where I bought it?

    I have not been online since April 28/2015. SO if anyone has a complaint of me. It was not me, it was the hijackers of my account and xbox.

    Gamertag Recycle/Delete?

    Xbox did start to remove inactive gamertags from their system, but they stopped doing that when people started illegally selling those names. It's doubtful that the will free-up any further gamertags.

    Hey, have you tried reinstalling the Xbox APP?

    Are you using the official version or the Beta?

    And have you used/installed anything else that would affect your internet such as a VPN?

    I know I ran my VPN once then I had to restart because I had party issues.

    Call your ISP and report them for internet theft.

    So you believe everything you read on the internet? He probably talking out his @@@ ppl who know how or do ddos im pretty sure will not be bragging on the internet about it its highly illegal and its not taking lightly by isp's or FBI yes the FBI computer
    crimes division does do investigations on ddos hacks

    A VPN network adapter can also cause this issue. Go into Device Manager > Network Adapters and try to remove all the VPN adapters installed and see if it helps
