hacked and deleted account

My husbands gmail email address and associated Microsoft Account seems to have been hacked and closed or deleted. A couple other accounts seem to have been affected but my main one seems no longer available. I saw a related Microsoft support center post
today and am hoping someone can help.



Sign in results in, "That Microsoft account doesn't exist. Enter a different email address or

get a new account." and I can't recover the account automatically since:

https://account.live.com/password/reset results in "The Microsoft account is incorrect. Please try again." All of my sons Xbox data, and everything linked has been stolen resulting in probably a $700 or more of a loss!
He had two-step verification on, so I'm not sure how this is possible but they did seem to temporarily have access to multiple email accounts of ours. We've had this email/Microsoft account for many years and it is connected to my Xbox account with points
balance, google, etc. He uses L: a gmail account to login, and I have been able to get that back, but not the Microsoft account. Now when we go on the x-box to login the email attached is
L: *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** and shows we were hacked from someone in Morocco, we are in Wisconsin.
