Hacked Account

Ok, I’m not the type of person to go around raising sand over things but I am now. My account got hacked a couple of weeks ago so I call Xbox for support. After a week or so the escalation team transferred all my information, games, and friends to the same
account () but it was under another email so the hacker couldn’t get back on. So basically I log on to the account with the new email but I can’t do anything but play online multiplayer. I can’t join parties, everything on the dashboard is unavailable, I
can’t see my profile, can’t get invited to games, and the games I bought are not on the new email account. I’ve called a lot of times but everyone says the same thing like “the investigation is still on going” or they make me reset my Xbox and delete my account
but it never works. It has been a month since I called first for help. I don’t get any response from the dude helping me, he never emails me back and I’m at the point where I don’t know what to do. I can’t have a good time because Xbox let someone hack me
now, I can’t play with my friends or do anything. I had to make a separate account to reach you guys and everything. All I want is my account to stop acting like this and all my games back. Thank You, please someone help me out

people don't need to change email address when compromised, they need to change password and make sure they have proper security... that includes not using passwords on more than one service, if one service is compromised all those details are sold.

Someone in another country will pop up with it, even if it takes years to happen. My skype password took approximately 4 years from compromise to have someone log in and use it.

This app makes you click approve when logging into websites, and it's instant once you click "accept" the website will load in normal.

Any devices that don't work with the app like xbox 360 will have you go to website once to create a password (it will generate a password that isn't easy) and you use that on those devices to login with your normal user name.

Last year almost 1 billion got paid out. That was a huge jump from 2015 where only 32 million was paid out. With a jump like that Im sure it will grow even more.

 

All you can do is continue working with support. If the investigation is still ongoing, you'll have to wait for them to finish.

I had exactly the same situation. On 1st of December my account has been hacked and I'm experiencing the same problem with global escalation team as you. I had over 200 games "ready for install" - I've got 25 in the morning, 60 in the afternoon and 10 next
day. 90% of them are unplayable because newly created account hasnt got permissions. Same as you can't do **** apart from playing 2 games that actually works. My daughters account doesn't work because I'm unable to set family account as system crashes. I bought
xbox one x for her for Christmas and if she won't be able to use it on Christmas Day I will be seriously mad. Numerous times I did ask for any, even slightly hint of when it's going to be operational but nah "All you can do is continue working with support.
If the investigation is still ongoing, you'll have to wait for them to finish".

We won't get any help dude, might as well just set up a new account and start over.
