    Hello,

    My Xbox Live account was hit yesterday and in the process, my password was changed. I don't know how but my associated email address for that account, which used a different password, was also taken over. I can't log into either. I attempted to utilize my backup email address and filled out the form for two-step verification which simply has a response sent to my backup email that the process couldn't be completed. My phone remains logged into my Xbox account through the app but that hasn't allowed me to access or change anything important; only that I can see the person playing on my account and using the messaging function. They charged nearly $850 to my account also.

    I attempted to use the virtual assistant and live chat but both require a person to sign in in order to access a live person. I found a number online that only reached an automated message directing people to the online services before hanging out.

    Are there any other options? Is there another way to reach a real person or am I stuck in Automated Limbo for eternity?

    I already tried the recovery form and I'm currently out of attempts for the next 24 hours. It doesn't tell me why it failed; just that I get an email to my backup indicating that Xbox couldn't followthrough with the request.

    I recommend creating a new account, then try accessing Microsoft Virtual Agent

    Then just type in “agent” and select the issue.

    Select either of the option “Call me back” or “chat”

    the support will be able to help with your case!
