Hack affecting origin as well

Remove your payment information or your accounts will start getting charged for unauthorized purchases. I logged my son into origin last night an woke up to $129 charges to origin that I have no history for.

The alleged attack was not hacking. Xbox user information is safe on Xbox servers. Origin may be a different story. I would suggest changing your password on Origin as well as contacting their support team.

Big Jeff V, in that article you link, the Anonymous Tweets they show includes EA/Origin. (EA) Games.

Some people are reporting that these are old details from a breach earlier in the year. However, worth changing passwords you have just to be safe.

 

I already changed mine not even worth it to not to.

 

There was no hack into xbox servers to grab CC info, Everyone's information is fine and secure and on top of that Encrypted into the server itself they would have to acquire the exact algorithm and salt used to encrypt it to decode your information which
isn't possible.

 

Well let's hope MS is more secure then JP Morgan because they were hacked. And information was stolen.
