Hello, and thanks in advance. Can I run a Blu-ray player though the X Box H.D.M.I. in? I've run the PS4 though the original One years ago, and remember it working. Tried hooking up a Sony Blu-ray player and it's not getting a signal. Can't remember if there
is an app or something that has to be activated? Hopefully just loopy from the cold medicine and it's something simple I'm missing .

    Peace, J.R.

    :)

    OK. Enough is enough...

I was extremely dissapointed, I wanted to buy a Microsoft Mediaroom so I could watch my favourite shows from my Microsoft Surface, but hearing how they (Microsoft) sold it to Ericsson pissed me off, I hoped to see the same features in the new Xbox, I would've
paid the extra few hundred bucks for T.V. EVERYWHERE, but the Xbox One doesn't have either T.V. D.V.R. (with Cloud Storage) nor Live T.V. streaming for none H.D.M.I. P.C.'s, Microsoft had a golden chance (which they can still make-up for), but they've wasted
    it.

How can I play my Xbox one in a different room

If his P.C. has a H.D.M.I. out, he could play on another T.V.. ;-)

You should be able to do it, not sure what you have to click on though to get it to work.

  7. The Xbox One S is fully capable of playing Blu-Ray and DVD movies, especially 4K UHD Blu-Rays. You just have to download the Blu-Ray app: Blu-ray App on Xbox One | Watch Blu-ray discs on Xbox One

Otherwise, any HDMI-capable device will work through the HDMI-in port on the Xbox One.

Thank you all for the feedback and help.

I had to set the Blu-ray player up as a cable/satellite box though the One Guide, you were spot on Daft Badger.

No sense burning out my drive prematurely on the S playing D.V.D.s (D.V.D.s don't look right on the X Box One I.M.H.O..) and regular Blu-ray movies when I have a stand alone player already in the room. I bought another PS4, for the bedroom, and was short
a H.D.M.I. port; everything is working great now.

On a side note, when moving my bedroom around, they X Box fell on the floor from about 3'. Was worried for a bit, but not a scratch and still works fine! Hurray!

    Peace, J.R.
