GWG Hitman Blood Money won't download to Xbox One

I've been a member for years and never had an issue getting GWG.

I own an Xbox One and have successfully downloaded the 2 xbox one GWG. It refuses to download Hitman.

I've tried numerous times through a PC and get this error:

Your purchase cannot be completed at this time. Please try again.

Unfortunately you would have to purchase it if you want the game now. Once a promotion ends there is no way to get that offer again unless it becomes available again.

I appreciate the response. Regardless this is really disappointing and I hope Microsoft can somehow make this right. This is my first formal complaint about anything on this forum. I am clearly not the only person that has experienced this issue specifically
with regards to Hitman: Blood Money on GWG. I believe this was Microsoft's issue, therefore I think it's their responsibility to adequately resolve it and satisfy their customers.

 

Ive been traveling for the past few months in Europe, so ive been downloading gwg from my laptop. Hitman: Blood Money is the only game i have not been able to dowload, grtting the same “Sorry, try again later message” as the OP got. Any help would be
great as I love the Hitman series and dont want to miss out.

 

Make sure that your xbox account region matches your actual region in order to get this download going otherwise you will have issues continually.

 

That's not quite true. I no longer own an Xbox 360, and I recently changed my payment details on my account. I can still redeem free GwG Xbox 360 games, either via my Xbox One or PC, no problem.

What is true, is that a payment method is a mandatory requirement if you try to obtain such games with an Xbox One or a PC.

If you have an Xbox 360 however, no payment option is required to redeem these games via that console. I don't know why this is the case, my best guess is that it's a left over glitch or unfortunate quirk of Microsoft switching from MS points to a currency
based system.

 

Im not following. Ive been in europe since september 1st and had no issues downloading any of the other gwg, only hitman: blood money. My xbox one is back in the states, so im not going to switch my region. Im just trying to add to my backlog by adding these
games while they are free from xbox.com and the xbox app for xbox one gwg titles.

 

OK, made sure that my console region was correct (Australia) and it is. Moved from the UK over a year ago and not had a problem since moving, only with this game. Tried again from console and PC, same error messages. My payment method is my UK paypal account
(which I still use over here for ebay, etc). Could it be that?

Short answer yes, the paypal could be the issue at hand. Now, also go ahead and check out the

Xbox Settings page on Xbox.com, sign in to the profile at hand. On that page is an option names Change 360 account region, make sure it matches the region (Australia). Check it out and let us know if it helped!

 

Ah, wasn't aware the 360 region needed changing too (I no longer have the 360). Tried to do this and got this error, will keep trying:

There’s a problem completing your move right now. Please check the Region Change Support Page to make sure it will work for you, and try again later.

 

Great, the change seemed to have processed despite the error message. Tried to download and it said no valid payment method. Added my Oz card details and it allowed me to claim the game. Thanks for your help!

I also get same message. Region on both xbox 360 and One are the same (Finland) and havent been able to download it for weeks.
