    Hey fellow Redditors and Gamers, I have a huge problem right now. On my old Xbox one, I made two accounts one with my actual email which is my main account on which I played games and I made another account where I made a new email on which I paid for my Xbox game pass ultimate subscriptions. Plus for the second account, I put my main email as an alternate username/email in case I forget the password or something for the new (alt) one. So after that I get a Series X but forget to turn off recurring billing and to cancel the subscription on my alt subscription account and when I set up the Series X only the main account on which I play games was transferred because that is my main email. I don't have my old Xbox one anymore (it has been a few weeks since I bought the Series X), and I can't remember a single detail from my alt account, the email, password Gamertag anything! And Microsoft keeps billing me for the subscription each month even though I can't use it because I can't and am not logged into that account at all. When I tried to log into the alt account on my new Xbox I pressed the forgot my account option and put in my main AKA the alternate email option for the account which is the same email that I use my main account for and it only gives me the first two digits of the email which doesn't help anything. So my question is there an option to retrieve my email because I don't remember any info for it I only know the alternate email for it which is the main one I use, and if I can't retrieve it can I somehow cancel the subscription so they don't keep billing me for something I can't even use. Guys I have been trying for weeks now and will do anything to fix it would appreciate any help or tips I can get. Thank you so much!!

    I'm AJ, an Independent Advisor for the Xbox Community.
    I'm sorry you are experiencing issues with your console.

    • Would you mind giving this a try?

    - Press and hold your console's power button until it shuts down.
    - Unplug the console's power cord for 5 minutes.
    - Turn your modem/router off and unplug them for 5 minutes.
    - Plug everything back together and turn your console.
    - Check if your account is on the console. If it's not, try adding it again.

    Please let me know if you receive the same error message.

    • In addition to this, could you go to Settings > General > Network Settings, and let me know what you see under "Current network status"?

    Try doing a hard reset of the console by holding the power button for a minute then unplugging the power cord and reattaching after a few minutes.

    Here are some suggestions from Xbox Support:

    Your screen is blank after you turn on the console

    • Confirm that both your TV and Xbox One console are turned on.
    • Check that your TV is set to the correct input signal (HDMI).
    • Check that the HDMI cable connection to your console is secure.
    • Check that the HDMI cable connection to your TV is secure.
    • Check that the HDMI cable is connected to the "out to TV" port on the console.
    • Power cycle your Xbox One: Press and hold the Xbox button
      for 10 seconds to turn off the console, and then turn it on again.
    • Reset your display settings. Here's how:
      1. If there's a disc in the Xbox One console, eject it.
      2. On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for 10 seconds to turn off the console.
      3. Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep.
        DO NOT LET GO until the second beep occurs.

        Note If you have an Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, you’ll need to press and hold the
        Xbox button and the Bind button instead, as your console does not have an
        Eject button.

        In either case, this will boot your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset this setting, press the
        Xbox button to open the guide. Go to System >
        Settings
        > Display & sound > Video output, and then select the resolution you want from the Display dropdown.
      4. If you’re required to complete these steps on every boot-up, you’ll want to change your TV connection to HDMI as shown in step 3 of the next section, "Your screen is blank and you use an AVR in your setup." For more info, see

    • Try plugging the HDMI cable into a different HDMI port on your TV.
    • Try using a different HDMI cable to connect your console to your TV.
    • Try connecting your console to a different TV.
