guys how to enable tpm 2.0 in windows 11 without bios??

i am trying to play valorant on my laptop, but it crashes and says tpm 2.0 is required, and when i tried to enter bios it said for a password , even tough i have no pasword on my laptop. can someone help?

you would have to consult with your manufacturer, but it sounds like it's not supported on your laptop

Welcome to the Microsoft community.

Thank you for your feedback. You also need to disable CSM if it's BIOS-enabled again, and make sure that boot is configured for UEFI and not Legacy.

Once converted, configure the following motherboard options as follows:

Boot Mode: UEFI

Secure Boot: Enabled

Fast Boot: Enabled

Boot CSM: Disabled

TPM: Firmware TPM (fTPM, Intel PTT)

Also make sure the boot disk is formatted as MBR, otherwise you will need to convert it to GPT and then disable CSM for it to work.

In the case of changing from MBR to GPT, this is mandatory for UEFI (and therefore secure boot).

Note: When changing these settings, an error may occur and you will have to reinstall Windows, so please back up your data.

These are one of the features that must be reinstalled when you change it. When you disable the CSM on the motherboard, Windows will not boot and must be formatted.

If you choose to format, be sure to disable CSM before installing the new copy of Windows.

I'm using a custom build of Windows 11 that doesn't require the TPM 2.0 chip. I just ran setup, it's not letting me run setup.

he has a 5900x, it is baked into the cpu so he will have it, just needs to enable it via the bios. new boards don't need tpm built in as most new cpu's have it already included.

Ever since Skylake (6th gen), nearly all Intel CPUs have an embedded TPM 2.0 that Intel calls Platform Trust Technology (PTT). AMD CPUs have an embedded TPM 2.0 called fTPM since the AM4 platform (2016)

but the crux is that microsoft still only want to support 8th gen intel (and one version of 7th gen) and 2nd gen ryzens.
