Guys, halo sprtan **** cannot sign me into Xbox live on windows, but Minecraft works. Any help?

I specific that I haven't any type of Xbox console. I'm trying to sign in with my PC, the only error code I get is the "cannot access to xbox live. Impossible to find specific file" error, without any code or number.
I have this problem also when I try to sign into Xbox Companion Console and Xbox (Beta). When I try to sign into others PC it works, so it's my PC's problem.

In my opinion this is not a Minecraft problem, I think it's a Windows problem... I've already contacted Xbox support and they told me that it could be Windows problem... so here I am. But I'll try to check the Minecraft
forum anyway.

If you know something I could do to solve the problem please let me know!

Yes, I am using a PC with Windows 10.

And unfortunately there is not much else to provide. Like I said, when I am launching the game, the main menu says to press any button. I do that, in-game microsoft windows pops-up and asks me to sign in my microsoft account. When I'm done, in-game error appers saying:

"error encountered while signing into xbox live"

then I get 2 options - Retry and Cancel. Cancel simply brings me back to the main menu asking to press any button, and if I click Retry. the loading icons loads infinitely, with no effect.

This is very disappointing. My friend gifted me this game, and I cannot even play it because of some stupid Xbox Live error.

I am also having the issue where all of my app based games on Windows 10 have stopped being able to log into Xbox Live. The Xbox app logs into Xbox Live as does signing in via www.xbox.com.

I have tried the following games: AlphaJax, Cut the Rope, Disney Fairies Hidden Treasures, Gravity Guy, Halo: Spartan Assault, Hexic, iStunt 2, any of the Microsoft games like Bingo, Jigsaw, etc. All have issues signing into Xbox live.

Things are working fine on my Surface RT (running 8.1RT) so it is not my account but something specific to a Windows 10 PC.

In this case, I suggest you to change your account email and password. If your username was changed, probably someone took control of your account and changed it.

Since you can still sign in to it, you did not lost access to your Minecraft purchase. Purchases cannot be unlinked or transferred to another account.

This is probably just a bug or sync issue, since on thursday an offer went live for people who purchased Minecraft for Java or Minecraft for Windows in the past to get the other version free.

Try to uninstall Minecraft Java and the Minecraft Launcher and try to sign in again. If it does not work, try to download the Launcher for Windows 7/8 on the Minecraft website.

If it still does not work, I would recommend you to contact Minecraft support and see if the hacker did something to your account. Only they will be able to help you.
