Guitar Hero 3 Controller Won't Stay On

So I have an older Guitar Hero 3 controller for the Xbox 360. I put fresh batteries in, and pushed the home button. The lights come on, dim, and quickly turn off. Can someone help me?

2-player games that don't involve shooting?

Guitar Hero. It's pretty addictive but would require guitar controllers unless you play Guitar Hero 3 or GH: Aerosmith. They have standard controller support.

whether the controller is compatible to "Guitar Hero Live" with the old games (guitar hero 3,4,5 etc)

Sorry to hear it. If the controller is no longer able to use new batteries (bad connection) then there is nothing anyone here can do to help. You'll need to see if you can find a new controller for the game.

Hi, I see you have guitar hero in your played games list, is the guitar laying around somewhere and having the guide button pressed in? Try taking the batteries out of the guitar controller or any other guitar hero controllers you may have and see if the
issue persists.

No it won't work.

If you have older Xbox 360 instruments, there is a Rockband adapter where you can connect older Xbox 360 wireless instruments through that adapter.

But since the Guitar Hero Live controller has 3 pairs of "white/black" buttons instead of the five colored buttons, the Guitar Hero Live guitar is not compatible with Rockband 4. Please check

this compatibility matrix for which instruments are compatible with Rockband 4.

Guitar Hero 3 and Guitar Hero Aerosmith both support standard controllers and are dirt cheap. I think they are excellent games to help with motor functions. They use the shoulder buttons for hitting notes and the A button for Orange when you make it that
far.

You can start out on Easy which would be Green, Red and Yellow and is relatively slow.

As you get comfortable with that speed and those buttons you can move on to Medium which adds blue and double notes using two of those four colors and the notes come at you a bit faster.

Hard adds Orange bringing the grand total to 5 buttons you would need to use and the complexity of the notes thrown at you increases as well as the speed again. Sometimes even triple notes fly at you.

Expert is incredibly hard on a controller but passable until you get deep in the song list.

Guitar Hero 3 is considerably harder than Guitar Hero Aerosmith in terms of song complexity. Once you hit the Hard difficulty guitar solos are no joke in Guitar Hero 3.

If the game doesn't detect the Mic, then it won't work. Alternatively you can connect your Xbox headset mic to your controller and use that for some Guitar Hero titles.
